i sold my expensive 60" TV on ebay, the buyer wanted to collect on Friday but I was busy on the weekend he phoned me to say he'd call again on Sunday... no calls , then on Monday night i checked his feedback again it had risen by lots of new positives...saying they'd been defrauded.
What he was doing was paying via paypal then collecting. For the seller to get his money he needs to give positive feedback and then wait for the money to get into the bank. He was using stolen paypal accounts to pay. He bought more than 10 TVs in a few days!
I contacted some of the buyers and they told me their problems
So paypal protects you? NOT if the buyer collects!
Lucky I still have my TV i wanted cash on collection so I don't understand how he was going to take it from me
Ebay now charges 10% + listing fees + paypal fees
ebay sellers cant leave negative feedback ("to promote a welcoming space for buyers"ebay ) so if you want to tell people you've been defrauded you still have to leave positive!
