I bought two Britney tickets for the 3rd June from a seller with over 2000 feedback selling tickets. I emailed him today asking when they were sent because i thought i would have them now but now he is saying they can only be collected *from the venue on the night* and it would be best to cancel the transaction and claim from my credit card company. I paid by paypal and since it was 45+days from purchase date I cant raise a dispute...any advice?

Or even ask someone on here that lives in the same area to do you a favour...

There is nothing else you can do because of the time that has gone by etc....

You see he had 20tickets so im assuming they are expecting to see the card used to purchase the tickets in order to get all 20 tickets...
#5
Your only options are to collect or plead with the seller to send them through the post.
Otherwise i think you are SOL.

If you paid via paypal there is no card to show
TBH you have been scammed i think.
#6
He will not be there. You have been scammed.

He will say you picked them up as you have no proof you did not get them.

It's just logic, no?

He looks like a legit seller.
I would plead with him to post them.. Did you pay for postage?
im assuming so. Email him again (or call him from the ebay contact details) say you have paid for postage so please post them.

Theres nothing you can actually do but hope really :/

plead with him to post.
as i saidd i think you have been scammed but you can try.

Its collection on the night

Maybe they arent scamming, I had to collect my tickets for Kings of Leon from the box office at the last minute when they emailed me at seetickets and said they were not posting them. and still completed my ebay sale. As long as they keep in contact and actually answer the phone then all hope may not be lost! But Britney??? I think id rather be scammed than go!

Yeah special delivery. Im careful with who i buy from on ebay and I thought since this guy had over 2000 positives selling tickets it would be ok...
#18
If they've charged you postage and they're now saying collection surely that's not right anyway??
#19
Feedback seems ok, odd that they say you can pick them up and also to cancel the transaction.

I assume he has sold them for more money, he knows you probably will not take the chance of going all that way without knowing you are going to get in.

If he has them to collect why can't he post them, sounds well dodgy to me.
#20
Is he suggesting that you claim from your credit card company and he gets to keep the £120+ you paid him aswell as the tickets???

He advertised as Next Day Delivery, you paid for it and if he won't post them, I suppose all you can do is threaten to leave negative feedback and report him to ebay for fraud!
#21
I know just my luck...I have a mobile number and looking at his buying on ebay he has bought a lot of tickets for other events which he has not resold on ebay so I was thinking he must be selling them elsewhere and doing some googling I found...

https://www.ukdata.com/company-credit-reports/M.T.-PROMOTIONS-LIMITED.html

same name? both in London...just coincidence? Hopefully that his address too as I already have phone number
#22
As far as reporting him to ebay (unless it all works ok), if you've been screwed over, its likely that the other 18 people who've bought tickets have been too, so they'll report him.

Hope it all works out x

I know just so confused about why it had to be this one transaction out of his two thousand odd that he had to make awkward...

Jumpingphil
He does look like a legit seller.
With only 3 exceptions his feedback is perfect.
I can't understand why he is insisting on pick up when his ad clearly states posting.

Good luck.

Thanks!

Never thought of that - assumed the credit card company would get the money off him

As I said.... Ask on here in MISC if anyone lives near and see if you can get them picked up !

Give them something for their time etc

PS If I lived close to the seller I would help you out in a minute, i'm sure others would too !

Thanks!

The thing is they will only be able to collect from the venue on the day of the event by the seller by which time my girlfriend will have to have gotten the flight not knowing if this dude is going to turn up or not.
#26
Can you not ask if they can be picked up from his address ?

Also remember, all will not be lost... There is always people selling tickets at a knock down price at the doors to a venue etc.... Still worth going and at least her night wont be spoiled....

Had to do this years ago myself etc

Yeah going to phone tomorrow during my break at work see what can be done. thanks for your advice it is appreciated
#28
He is making it as awkward as possible, threaten him with reporting to the Police and small claims court.

If he had the tickets he would send them, simple.

On the night you will get a 'tried to find you but couldn't get a signal on my mobile story'

Also see if you can contact any of the other 'winners' to see if they had theirs. Do'nt see any feedback for the others either.

But dont let this spoil your GF's night, there will be tons of people selling tickets outside, that bought too many and could not sell them all on time in ebay etc....

I have bought loads of tickets from ebay and never had a problem, Just act fast though...

Time is running out etc....

Taking a flight without a ticket is a bit of an expensive risk.

I wouldn't do it.
#31
look how many of his positives are 'can't wait for the tickets to arrive'

Why would you leave a positive without having the tickets?

There sure are some dummies out there.

Crazy - you NEVER leave feedback as a buyer until you have the item in your hands and are happy with it!!!!

As others have said, you paid for Special Delivery as advertised, so he has to fulfil his seller obligations and send them to you. Definitely threaten with legal action/small claims if he starts to get difficult.

Agreed all those feedback comments look crazy "Can't wait for tickets to arrive" , "Good comms so far" etc. He probably asked them for pos feedback before he agreed to "send out" the non-existent tickets.

Why would he charge £4.60 postage for tickets he's not sending out? You will have to claim via paypal/credit card ASAP but I don't fancy your chances after all this time. Good luck

Sorry mate - lesson learned - never buy tickets from ebay.
#36
See he has no items for sale now - he's banked the money and closing down you can bet.....

Something similar just happened to me on ebay. I bought tickets off a seller to go see Coldplay in July. He had great feedback, thousands, and had been a member for years. When I expressed my concern that when the concert time comes around the 45 day and 90 day paypal would be up, he offered me a refund. I thought he was legit so went ahead with the transaction.

Had a look the other day and he was no longer a registered user! Contacted him and he emailed back saying he was in dispute with paypal who were holding his funds and I would have to claim via my credit card company for a refund! :x

Went to email paypal about opening a dispute ( even though it was after the 45 days ) and an ebay phone number came up. I phoned them and they were absolutely brilliant. I think it is only for selected accounts but they had see the guy was no longer a registered user and he hadn't been sending out tickets so they were issuing me a full refund threw paypal! Now I am still waiting on it going threw but I don't see why it wouldn't

Hope maybe you can go threw something like this?
#38
I really cannot believe all these people left feedback before recieveng the Tickets,Are people mad,This could be a scam ,He could have sold thousands in the past month and be going to do a runner,
