I sell on ebay usually around 70 items a week for the last few months only noticed that the last 2 weeks i have hardly sold a thing and not even getting many bids,is it because people are on there hols or what.
Anybody else having the same problems
Any ideas of what these could be down to ?

Yes, take a look on their community forums. Lots of complaints about the fee hikes, feedback changes and the drop in users. There was some links to some news stories on there showing how their figures were dropping.

they have changed there search displays, maybe people arnt getting the traffic they want to and hence not getting the sales hence less listings..

also august is holiday season

and credit crunch / recession news

all different aspects even many products used to come up on search engine results but we hardly see these days

Yup...I used it regularly...have only used it a couple of times since all the changes, they have put me off using it

agree the new ebay changes are not great ,especially the feedback ,also alot of my profit is going into the ebay fees

Have gone right off feebay..had 100% feedback and 722 positive, not one single negative in 6 years until they changed the feedback for buyers..got 1 negative which wasn't warranted and think the buyer done it just to be smart..plus sick of listing fees when items have never sold time and time again..so have given up on feebay.

I hope you realise they are now gonna charge £12 for a basic shop considering it was £6 a month, having a store can be good but you have to attract buyers to your store usually by putting items on the main auction listings pages...best wishes with it :)

The changes are

£14.99 per month for basic shop fees up from £6 and listing fees for shops up from 3p to 20p per item from middle of September. Lots of people are talking about closing their ebay shops. I'm certainly going to! The only advantage is that the items will now show in the main auction listings but for most small to medium sellers it won't be worth having a shop any more.

PS Our sales on ebay have really been down over the last 2 weeks but amazon sales are just starting to pick up now.

they have changed there search displays

You can go back to the old style search by selecting 'Opt out of the new search experience' at the top of the listings once you have searched a item.. If it's not there it will be at the bottom of the page..
