Ebay still shafting us all, but now more than ever!

Just noticed that Ebay are now charging us 35p to revise an item.

Sort of defeats the object of a free listing if that is the case.

I need to sort out my postage options because I can now ship overnight if ordered before 6pm with guaranteed next day delivery.

But, for me to add this to each listing Ebay are going to charge me 35p a pop.

Totally ridiculous!

I'm really starting to hate Ebay now, even though I've been using them for almost a decade. I never knew that you couldn't cancel a transaction through their system if you JUST placed an order. I literally placed a order 2 minutes prior to wanting to cancel it, and they said you have to contact the seller, who has already received a 'transaction fee', so I only get 95% back for buying nothing. What a waste.

Did you change any details like price, or add images as I have just edited a few of my listings and had no such charges applied

Yeah but you can't used HUKD for business purposes so sort of defeats the object.

Facebook is OK but people are still reluctant to purchase for shipment on Facebook and most sales are face to face which sort of narrows the market down a little. :(

Cant see why a seller charges you 5% as they will send a cancellation request through and get their fees back anyway. Just make sure that you don't agree to any cancellation email now as the seller will get both the fees and your 5%. One thing you get for your 5% is the ability to leave feedback still ;)

Are you a business seller and the ones you have changed, were they part of the free listings?

I think they only charge if you revise a free listing, but still sort of defeats the object of a free listing, especially on GTC. Once you have revised it once I see it is free to revise after that, but still it is a sly way of Ebay getting their payment for what is supposed to be a free listing.

Very sneaky indeed and they have you over a barrel if you need to make an important change to a listing.

I've edited loads and never been charged

Defo something to do with the free listings. If you revise a free listing they charge you, even if you do not alter anything and scroll down to the bottom it will have a 35p charge.

Also if you cancel a auction with or without any bids due to any reason. Such as sold elsewhere, broken, change of mind..etc. Ebay will charge you for giving a bad buyer experience.

The list goes on and ebay will not stop the bully tactics until their is a worthy competitor knocking on the door. Which there isnt and wont be, therefore we all should enjoy selling our goods as well as being shafted between the buttocks for the rest of our lives.

I edited the price of a Buy It Now item I had listed last night and wasn't charged a fee.

I've had that happen once or twice, cancel to revise and do it again and its free! Don't know why it does that but I think its a glitch!

I've just been banned by Ebay.

Apparently, a piece of string and a house brick cannot be sold as a '**** enlargement solution'?

Ha.

Why have posts been removed?

Let's censor the rich and colourful English language because people believe certain words are considered taboo.

Let's experiment.

My friend Dick said the other day that censorship does not belong in a free society. Shortly afterwards he introduced me to his pet cock, before showing me a lovely pair of tits. At the end of the day we both shared a fag....
