Ive been looking for a widescreen crt for my gf on ebay, did the settings to 10 miles of my postcode, bidded on a few Tvs didnt win. Then I came accross a bush TV bidded on it and I won it for 0.99p. In the sellers details it said item location London. To my terror when I looked over the item description after I won at the end it said for collection from taunton, somerset..... Ive never even heard of the place after looking on multimap its 172 miles away from me.

Ive emailed the seller explaining that I made a mistake and asking if he would consider a neutral withdrawal (Im not sure how those work? anybody know the proper name)

but if he dont agree I wanted to post this as a back up and offer it to somebody who could collect it in that area or if you know somebody who could for £3.

I dont believe I never noticed this but I guess its what happens when you dont pay attension properly. I think he will probably cancel it because who would want to sell any tv for 0.99p, Im just a bit worried as Im in the wrong for not reading the description but I would think he would cancel.

I will post as soon as he lets me know what he wants to do, this is just my backup idea

I just want to find out if anybody is interested and can collect. Sorry to waste your time if he does netural withdrawal

if you click on resolve a problem you can cancel the transaction there and the seller needs to accept it then he will get his fees back.

Technically profiteering if you won it for 99p and are trying to sell on here for £3

I'm not saying it to be nasty or anything, it's just that you know what some of the mods are like round here.

Just give him the 99p and tell him to sell it again
#9
I'd be surprised if the seller doesnt make excuses and cancel the sale tbh

Apologies jg213, but it is technically profiteering to buy at 99p & sell at £3, plus you don't have items in hand so can't offer them 'for sale' and this is MISC not FS/T. So a few problems with this thread.

There is some good advice above about how to withdraw from an eaby sale, maybe try that route first & I hope it gets resolved for you.
