You didn't know it was a waste of time contacting the seller, because you negged before doing anything else, you didn't wait for a reply, the seller didn't have all those negs when you left yours and yet your idea of resolving an issue is to hand out a neg.

I'm seeing it from the perspective of a seller,so i'm seeing red as i'd hate to have the OP as a buyer and hand me a neg before giving me a chance to rectify a problem.

I fear my work here has failed in trying to educate buyers not to be neg happy:w00t:

This is a shame because it now means that the OP feels he was well justified to just handout a neg FB without trying to rectify the problem, so it'll always continue.

I used to go out of my way to help people that contacted me and we always found a resolution but when I received my first ever neg, I gave him neg in return because he didn't attempt to contact me and it was a ridiculous reason that we could of resolved easily...but I had the neg FB removed anyway by Ebay and he eventually was banned.

Yes it is. It's why me and Deb8z said he was too hasty, in 90% of transactions it pays to contact the seller as they are more than willing to help and resolve issues. Leaving a neg in haste means he will not get any help as most sellers will be quite annoyed with that and have no "incentive" to help.
So yes he probably thinks leaving a neg in haste was justified in this case, BUT it's not always the way.

Definitely, I wouldn't bother helping people that act in haste...why should I go out of my way to help someone when they can't even spare 2 seconds to defuse the situation...the entire world is based on communication and without that, there's just anarchy.

Like you said, the majority of the time, sellers will try and be helpful but how can you help someone without knowing what the issue is?

Exactly, I know he has been done over this time, and hopefully the warning signs I have pointed out should help the OP to avoid this in future.
But the op really needs to know for future reference genuine sellers will do all they can to help and leaving a neg can be like cutting your nose of to spite your face in all honesty.

Couldn't agree more....are you following me around today, just to prove we have the same views? :giggle:

You can always start a PP dispute BEFORE giving negative feedback, thats what I would have done, and if I were the muppet who spent £600 and left near on most of those neg's, I would hvae used a credit card to cover my spend, thus enabling me to do a charge back via the CC compant, sod paypal, let them chase the thieving get!!
But yes, I do agree, there is nothing worse than getting a neg, be it on ebay, amazon, or anywhere else, once you have it it don't go away easily, in my experience, people who I have hegged early are unhelpful and on the flipside, you wouldnt want someone to do that to you either!

i can see everyones views and points about this, just to let you all know ebay have removed all the positive feedback as it was all mostly fakes, just the negative has been left. lets hope everyone can get there money back, what a joke i received my item it wasnt as stated in the listing, beware of this seller. or any listing that looks similer to these by the seller, and check the feedback for any paypal issues resolved like tinkerbell pointed out
