Ebid why do you not use it to sell or buy?

OK i am having a discussion over on the ebid forums regarding the site and wondered if i could get some feedback from people.
Why do you not use the site to list on?
lets look at the fees they are a lot less than ebay but people list on ebay despite 10% final value fees.
Are the fee structures on ebid to complicated for average joe to understand does it seem to good a deal to list that puts you off?
would you prefer to pay a flat lets say 20p to list till sold with all items such as gallery, etc and no final value fees?
Would like feedback of what it is that puts people off.

I've used it once before, the fees thing is a big bonus but i still never got a sale on an item that sells on ebay usually within 2 days of putting a listing on,I think ebay is more attractive as in my case the buyers are there

but a lot of people list on here where there are zero fees

I too have listed several items a few times & sold nothing !
I always sell the same quite easily on Ebay.

no buyers

they don't have the sellers & the buyers that ebay can offer

but

they are cheaper than ebay, more choices of payments etc

no auction site will compete with ebay ....... they have the monopoly

but the case is that the more people that advertise over there and sell the more people will eventually use it

I hate to be cynical but at that point I would imagine their fees would be inline with ebay.

I have used other auction sites but like others sold nothing at all when ebay sales were good.

Publicity, definitely the lack of buyers - if you could get more people viewing, could get more buying as sellers could offer better deal due to lower or lack of fees.

I would happily use the site if I thought I would get a buyer. Takes money to advertise but that is what woudl make the difference, if you could show it was cheaper and enough people saw it....
