ebuyer returns - faulty sat nav what are they like for refunds?

I got the V3 ebuyer value sat nav delivered today. But the screen is not straight, when the sat nav is turned on you can see that the screen feels like it is slightly dipped to the left (ie the left side of the screen looks lower than the right.) It does not look straight, so I want them to replace it for one that is straight. Will they do this? Thanks!

Depends. My last RMA to eBuyer resulted in them taking the part back, and then never issuing a refund or sending out a replacement part. I've sent half a dozen emails. They just don't respond. I'm going to give them a call tomorrow, but the case has been going on for months now, and I'm seriously considering small claims against them.

On the other hand, previous occasions have been okay.
I bought my little girl a tv/dvd combi 6 months ago and the dvd player stopped working, so they agreed to collect it and repair it under warranty, along with her remote at the same time that was also broken, and they collected it and sent it back within 4 days.

Noticed straight away that they had sent back a remote for a tv only with no dvd controls on it, called them and they said they would send out a replacement which never arrived, put her tv back on the wall and it was still broken with the same fault as it was sent away with !! They collected again and said that it was unrepairable and they couldn't replace it as they didn't sell the item anymore, and the alternative they offered me was £50 cheaper than this one cost, so they've sent me a full refund instead which I'm happy with cause I didn't want their alternative offer.
Oh know you have both had pretty bad experiences. I have asked for an RMA number from them on their site so will have to see what happens
They'r carp!
I'll never buy from them again!
Nuff said.
