What do you think - worth fixing for this long? Do you think other companies are going to hike their prices like Scottish Power did yesterday?

Penalty for leaving in the first two years, no penalty after that.

isnt great tbh

EDF put their prices up yesterday (Gas by 18% and electricity by 22%) and these fixed prices are about 20% higher again! oO

Plus a 2 year min contract. I like to switch every year for the cashback (EDF gave me £250 in Feb :)

I logged in today and had a message from them (they dont bother to email so was just lucky that I spotted it):-

Your energy prices are changing
As with other energy suppliers, we recently had to raise our gas and electricity prices for customers
on our Standard tariffs. These prices have changed on 2 March 2011. You were not affected by this
increase.
Unfortunately, from 14 July 2011 we will now also be increasing our Online [email protected] Version 7 prices
too. Your new prices are on the reverse of this letter.
Still a great tariff
Even though your prices are going up, you’re still on a highly competitive tariff. On average, a
typical Dual Fuel monthly Direct Debit customer could still save up to 5.5% on our
Online [email protected] Version 7 tariff when compared to our Standard tariff †.
Plus, we guarantee your Online [email protected] Version 7 unit rates will continue to be cheaper than our
Standard unit rates until at least 31 December 2011.

Electric now 10.61p per unit (from 8.36p so 26% increase)

Gas now 3.30p per unit (from 2.77p so 19% increase)

The standard prices changed 3 months ago and the one from 14 July - Online Saver Version 7 - seems to be specific to just that tariff.

I'm thinking that all the big suppliers are going to implement hefty increases in the next few months. Quidco don't have any big money on offer for Gas & Electricity at the moment. Also noticed that NPower, while offering £70 Quidco, state at the side that it's not available if you go for their Go Fix, Price Guarantee, npower one, Freedom Standard, Energy Bonus or Standard electric tariffs plans.
Quite a few of those offering Quidco have lots of stipulations as to which tariffs qualify for Quidco.
