Does anyone know if sky installers are working today?

I have a HD install booked but I have not had a call or text to confirm they will be coming.

I should have called them during the week to confirm, I want to go out now!

On an easter sunday surley not but if its booked its booked just call them. Mines goes in on tuesday woo !!

I've got an engineer booked for today betwen 12 and 5.
Just a warning about Sky+ HD - mine installed beginning Jan and have had number of problems -
not coming on, when on just blue screeen, unable to change channels, failed recordings, screen
freezing. Sky seem aware of hardware problems with box as immediately suggested a correction procedure.
Warned the procedure may delete any recording which it did, however, still unable to use sky.
Unable to use my sky at all for over a week - originally had appt for Tuesday and after ringing a couple of times, got a cancellation for today.
Out of interest are there many out there who have had problems or am I just unlucky.

same problems here unable to change channel unless i unplug the box from the wall then let it start back up sometimes when i want to record a program while watching another channel it will fail sky told me it was rare but now im wondering if they rushed the hd boxes out to quick

I've had the problem of recordings failing and apparently its because you dont have two SAT plugs. If you check the back of the HD+ box, there are two ports, SAT1 and SAT2. If you havent got plugs in both, then you cant watch one thing and record something else at the same time.

well been as i got 2 sat cables going into the box nest suggestion sky have said theres problems with boxes just google hd boxes you will see loads

We've had nothing but problems with our HD box as well - takes ages to get to each page when you're searching, going into planner. A lot of failed recordings saying power cut (not), and clashed (when nothing else is taping?). Hate it! Sometimes you have to right up to the box to change it (nothing to do with batteries either). TRying to explain to Sky is like banging your head on a brick wall as well. They sent us a new HD remote by which time the remote was back to working again. Rebooting usually helps for a short while but then it reverts back to problems again. Getting a new one soon hopefully.

All done. 2 engineers came, I said it's all ready just swap the box. 10 minutes max and they were gone!

When I rang to query, I was told that there was a record of my call but it
doesn't show anyone being sent today. So stayed in all day for nothing
and Sky still not working. Have to wait for original booking on Tuesday
which makes it 10 days with no Sky or recording facility.
The only thing Sky can do right and on time is take your money!
