Find a very quiet place and make sure your phones charged!

Tell them you rob banks in your spare time.

To be fair if you REALLY want the job. Tell them what they want to hear, even if you don't agree with it.

It's the way todays society is, honesty isnt always priority..

Had one of these years ago for hsbc, they asked the usual questions, ie, give an example of a time you handled a difficult customer, example of good customer service. I found it more difficult than a face to face interview as I felt more pressured to give a quick answer cos it was over the phone.

Take your time answering their questions, and try to prepare a few written examples of answers or scenarios before the interview so it is easier to answer clearly and with confidence(they cant see that you have the answer written down during the interview haha)

Good luck with your interview, hope you get the job :)

it's only 16 hours a week as a customer services officer so i doubt the questions will be too gruelling but i want to be prepared for what they might ask me.

just been searching for jobs online and another one has popped up which would be perfect for me at the mo, within school hours too, arrrgh! going to apply for this one too and see what happens :)

thanks :) it says on the email they sent me to ring up a number to "progress my application to the next step" does it mean that when i phone them i'll have the interview in that call or is it just to arrange it? confuuuuuuused!

they normally ask scenario type questions and how you would respond. few basic maths questions and also previous experiance on excellent customer service. what challenges you would face etc.

As long as you sound confident, it'll show during the conversation. Try not to stress yourself out beforehand as it will show - although a seasoned recruiter will expect it from applicants so it's not that much of a big deal.

As others have mentioned, do some research on questions they may ask, but most importantly - research the company. They WILL ask you what you know about them (or they should if they're good at their job), and it will show you've spent time researching them as you're serious about the job.

I wish you all the best :)
