Unemployment, Extremely Low Pay even for Doctors, Torture by Police is well known (they are basically free to do what they want), and the fact that a Country should be able to choose their Leader, which they haven't been able to do for a very long time, in the past too when someone comes to rival Mubarak, they are
arrested on fake charges etc etc etc.

Can't see Mubarak standing down, he is kinda untouchable in the Country where he is located, I think he'd rather die than stand down, and the thing is, unless another Country intervenes secretly to maybe pay him off to leave, then what is gonna happen is just gonna be down to fate, Army is loved, Police are hated, something could happen right there, but it's all "could" etc.

I think had something to do with a unelected ruling family, with a inept poorly chosen government haemorrhaging money on supporting fat cat loan shark bank's, useless greedy expense robbing MPs, the country's subjects treated like the sons of swine's paying extortionate taxes, job cuts, wage cuts, student fees being abolished, lack of freedom to travel long distances because of extraordinary high fuel cost, the hegemonic elite dissinpowering potential subversive emotion by assimilation and threats of imprisonment. Oh sorry, wrong Country.

Egypt is a nightmare.

I went back in the 90's and along our journey back (via coach) from our 7 day trip up the nile, we were told to look to our left. That is where 'those Germans' where taken from their coach and shot.

A few weeks from returning, the massacre at Queen Hatshepsut's temple happened (where I had stood a few weeks earlier).

It's a third world country in turmoil. Whenever the 'rebels' want to make a point, they attack the tourist industry - same happened at sharm el sheikh a few years back with the bombing.

My advice of any heavily populated muslim country? Stay clear at this moment in time. And no, that isn't a racist comment. It's simple fact.

Watch National Geographic instead.

it pretty much goes as a fact that anything written on here is that persons opinion .. - you don't have to put IMO after each statement ... lol

Thank you!

It would be a boring read, as you suggest, to start every post with "IMO..." or "I personally think..."

I guess 'some' people feel inferior from the off!

I've seen all the charms of Egypt, including a chap on a Felucca banging on our cruise boat window in the middle of the night asking us to buy some crap.
I've been to the valley of the kings, and the queens - I've seen Karnak temple, the Aswan Dam and all that Egypt can offer.

It was nothing more that a tourist trap on a very timed budget.
It is possibly the most tourist infested country in the world - trust me, you will NEVER witness the true Egypt in todays environment.

We visit Egypt simply because 'they' allow it and 'they' know our tourist dollar is essential to the economy.

It is false. HD is much better.
