Exactly as the post below this.

How do we get a job without our qualifications?!

Would you rather taxes go to supporting immegrants?
#9

#10
Tut tut tut all you lazy students eh getting paid to get an education and you moan when you dont get a bonus.
#11
Who is moaning? i was simply asking a question, also that is very rich coming from a guy who tried to put HUKD in to a great depressions just last year.

The same way I did - ok maybe I'm not on major bucks right now but I will be managing and owner of my own store before I am 35.

I'd rather my taxes go to improving Police Services, Ambulance Services, my list could go on....

That's what they all say when they get into arguments about stuff like this.

Truth is, you would RATHER not pay any taxes at all...

Well I know I'm in the minority when I say I don't mind paying taxes when I get my value for money. I'm happy with the police in my area but other things need to be sorted.

I just don't agree with this EMA but that is just my opinion and no - I'm not "getting into an arguement"

I disagree, but fella has no qualifications whatsoever but had been offered a managerial role within his company - start at the bottom and work up.

Further Education isn't for everyone - it wasn't for me
#21
I'm doing PC Maintainence from Next year, gonna avoid A-Levels.

totally agree Becks:thumbsup:

my eldest stayed on at 6th form, total waste of time, got himself a job at DSG international and is working his way up and doing quite well for himself.

Ok say for example a member of your family gets seriously injured on the street and the only person that could help was a man out for a meal with his family, this man saved your family members life, bearing in mind this man could have been going to college just for the EMA then at the end decided to become a doctor or something, would you still think the same?

WTF?!
#26
I think he's basically saying he only goes to college for EMA :giggle:
#27
Nope i go to college because i want to be a computer engineer, i was using that as an example as i know people who do only go for EMA.
#28
You get a bonus for going to school?!?!?!?!
#29
not everyone muckypup, if your parents earn over a certain amount you get diddly squat!
#30
Oh yeh and another thing, we get EMA but that just about covers our bus pass and dinner money so its not like we have it to spend on whatever, and the bonus buys me cloths up until the next bonus.

thanks MP just popping in for a nosey:thumbsup:

My son had to get a part-time job too as he wasnt eligible for EMA.
#35
I don't get EMA, but i do work.

At my 6th form there's loads of people who only go to it to get their £30 a week!
And, i'm pretty sure half of them are doing abit of a fiddle with the numbers!

At the end of the day though, it's just another of the government's stilly quick fix solutions that doesn't really address the problems in hand, so I don't blame the kids that get it.
#36
free money, if its there take it, tbh i dont think it its the main reason someone would decide to go to collage or 6th form or stay at their place of education.

Or this man/woman who is out for a meal with his/her family is an off duty paramedic. He/she never went to college but does a VERY worthwhile and UNDERPAID job and saves the life of a member of your family. Once saved your family member is treated in hospital by equally underpaid and undervalued nurses........ who also did not get the free money!

I am not against further education, it wasn't for me but I would be happy for my kids to take that path.

Rant over:roll:
