Emotive/persuasive language in deals

Please can it be left out its not necessary people can judge for themselves if its a good deal or not (ofc please provide evidence of the price of the item elsewhere this is useful) but as for the terms WoW, must buy, fantastic price!, too good to be true, cant go wrong, hurry etc please leave them out.

In addition can we please leave out the term "Stocking filler" im so tired of it and if it has to be used any item over £20 is not a stocking filler, idk why people refer to ipods and such as stocking fillers this to me is a main and large present!

OP just because you're a gippo doesnt mean that others are and they can afford ipods etc as stocking fillers.

doesnt really matter does it..if its a good deal it will get hot regardless of what is said in the title... if its crap it will go cold... cant say someone saying fantastic price would make me overlook the actual deal and vote hot regardless

Where has your avvy gone??

Looking at OP's deals, perhaps a bit of emotive/persuasive language might have helped them out?

I don't mind one way or another but what I am seeing more and more of is inaccurate OP info and when it is pointed out the poster gets irate, hence why I will not be giving any examples.

It seems that OPs are desperate to 'go hot'. oO

how about people describe their deals in whatever way they want? its a free country last time I looked. If people wanna use the term stocking filler or whatever thats up to them-most people here have the intelligence to decide how good a deal is for themselves. How anyone can get upset by the term "stocking filler" is beyond my comprehension tbh

If a deal offends you (or irritates you) and/or you don't like the language used just vote it cold......
#16
L@@K "load of old TAT £20!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" bargain

but if people did this im sure you would get annoyed but i cant get annoyed at people suggesting gifts of hundreds of pounds that dont fit in stocking are fillers?

And reading BS upsets me sure.

and that saying something is a "amazing price" when it isnt is conducive to a good deal.

Im just tired of reading two sentences of propaganda because people are desperate for their deal to get hot because its theirs not because the deals especially good.

Why try and sell it if you don't work for the company? Seems weird

I thought stocking fillers were 'smaller' items that can be put into a christmas stocking regardless of price??

I like capital letters to be used, but we can't always get what we want.

I'm not sure, but to me a stocking filler equates to a low priced item, but maybe i'm wrong.

In the great scheme of life does it really matter? Perhaps since its a deals site just be grateful someone has taken the time and effort to post a deal to help others, maybe instead of posting this thread you could've looked for a deal to post, just saying

To be fair the stupid emotive language does annoy me. Its pointless and desperate. I break the rules and cold vote all the deals with that garbage in. I'll decide whether its hot, and I won't rate it based on your begging on number of exclamation marks

Cnt say stocking filler annoy me tho.
