I bought a Car CD radio from Empire stores a few months back from a post from Deanos I think it was. Not only did they send the wrong one, they sent a faulty one. I got it exchanged, but is was more hassle than it was worth. Cost of the radio after voucher for 1st time customer was £25 delivered.
After all the hassle - I phoned them to take my details off their books, close my account and never contact me every again.
Ive just had a call from them about the radio, telling me I have a 3 year warrenty for it and that I can call them at anytime. OK, thanks I said. "There will of course be a charge for this" What - so you have rung me to sell me an insurance policy. "Er, yes". And how much is that? "£42.50"
So not only have the broken my instruction never to call me, they are trying to sell a 3 year warrenty for £42.50 for an item that cost £25!!!!
And they wonder why I told them to close my account!!!
