Following the last fiasco from Empire, here - http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/153116/philips-home-cinema-system-hts3357-/?p=1707314#post1707314
- and ringing "CUSTOMER couldn't CARE less" to enquire, VERY politely, about whether or not payment had been taken and voicing my upset over being let down over this offer resulted in a very rude outburst by the lady that I spoke to.
Well I, for one, will not be shopping there again!!
Companies of this size cannot be permitted to treat customers in this way.
Fine. A mistake occurs, but please, they should understand that a lot of us are very put out by this kind of event and, though it may pain them to do so, would it harm their reputation if they were to ATTEMPT to make amends by offering an extra discount off a similar product by way of recompense or a similar good gesture?
After all it wasn't OUR fault that we ordered an item in good faith. Did WE know that they had limited stock or that they had made a pricing error?
Nothing will change unless WE at HDUK do something about it. The alternative is that we let companies like Empire, walk all over us and, mark my words, others will soon follow sut if they are allowed to get away with it.
Folowing on from the rudeness that I encountered, it ocured to me that these are the same 'ladies' that would be dealing with any problems that I might get with a genuine, honoured purchase.
No thanks. I'll take my monies to a more deserving Company.
Is there any solidarity here among us??
We have tghe power of the internet behind us should we choose to use it but it's no good going back on your word and making that sly purchase. It's ALL or Nothing!
Empire WILL get to hear about any stance we take and WILL improve of go bust.
What are YOUR thoughts and are you prepared to stand up and be counted?
