need some advice please. I work as a chef for a company who basically book you in for work when needed. When you arrive you go to the staffing and Payroll bit and get a jobcard and your jacket hat and appron, I get signed in by the head chef and signed out when we leave. Anyway this evening I borrowed a fleece from a porter to go for a cigarette outside, as I went pass the staffing and payroll big one of the women who does the payroll and hands out the clothes to all the staff spotted I had the jacket and wanted it back at the end of the day. At the end of the day when I got changed I went to hand my jobcard back in and she asked for the jacket and I said someone else has got it, she then threatened that if she doesn't get the fleece back then I won't get paid! She isn't a manager or high up she just deals with payroll and handing out the bits and that. What I wanna know is does she have any right in trying to stop my jobcards from going through and even trying to remove my jobs from wherever they go to. I haven't done anything wrong in anyway what so ever all over a fleece. Anyway any advice please?
