no, I got all the readings for gas, electricity and water and all the bills are sorted

after I'll sign up with scottish power will I be able to cancel the bill from e-on ?
is there a chance that scottish power will put me in to any new( more expensive) tariff ?

you can go with who you want to, but obviously tariffs change so you need to chek these before going ahead, and remember quidco is not guarenteed, its a bonus if you get it, so dont go going dearer banking on quidco cashback

As you are signing up as a new customer to claim quidco, then you will have a choice of the current tariffs. You will have to pay e.on for wht you have used as they are your supplier now,

I changed to scottish power several months ago.
Looked online on my accounts and Im £400 in credit.
Then I get an email today which is 2 days later .....
" we are changing your direct debits from £70 to £492 a month,......so you dont underpay.."

Tried ringing them......nothing other than hang up everytime before I get through to someone.

Went back online to their site..and the Direct debit is up to £972...
I dont fancy going online again.

I cant WAIT for someone to answer their phone.

Anyone had this recently? I would love to hear from you

Quite the oppostie, had been with BG, asked for a refund as I'd been way overpaying so they said ok to the refund but tried to nearly double my direct debit, even though that's what's made me way overpay already!

Anyway, left to go to Scottish Power. Got my letter the other day saying direct debit of £45, phoned them up and said that £30 is more like what I'm going to use and they changed it no problems. Got a call a couple of days later from the manager who was following up my complaint, what complaint I said, according to the manager they have to raise a complaint on their system to change the direct debit price so much, he just wanted to check everything was ok with the new price and then wished me a good day.

All in all a complete breath of fresh air compared to BG.

Phone them up, they've been really helpful.

Also have you done any meter readings lately?
#12
Yes up to date meter readings

I dont want to scare the Benji but I have known of people have that happen when a company reduces the DD and then when bill time comes around its "oh you've underpaid welcome to debt" letter. I would put that other £15 to one side till the bills have been coming in for a year just in case.

Worst that can happen you have a nice lump sum saved if every thing is fine which I hope it is for you.

Incidently I used to work for 4 Gas and Electric companies, I left due to an attempt to make me use unsatisfactory working practises around selling.

Incidently the £400 and £900 odd amounts I quoted before are monthly .........

Well I was only using £30 with BG, and Scottish Power work out slightly cheaper for me so shouldn't have that problem. They paid me £72 to change so that should cover my extra winter usage alone!
