I just got the article from MSE by email. So what would you do, is it worth getting fixed energy prices which are significantly bigger, or would you risk it with and go for some of the cheaper energy prices?

I think I may take the rocky ride and risk it, Suppliers are offering 2 - 3 years fixed which is good if it rises but your in trouble if it drops.
I.E. - Look at the fuel pumps it shot up over 30p in months but now my local has dropped 10p/ltr that's £5 a tank so over say a 2 year fixed price at todays price it would cost me £10 a month £240 for 2 years.
Think I've just talked myself into the rocky ride after that lol.

personally am only after 1 year contracts so i think it'd worth taking a non-fixed contract but i'm going to bet prices won't drop till next year.

I'm gonna stay non-fixed too I think, will be changing from british gas as soon as everyone has finished this round of raises though.

I'm on click 5 - it just annoyed me that they put the prices up first again which seems to kick off everyone else to put thiers up, someones gotta go frist & if one of the big suppliers managed to swallow the increased cost or at least a large portion of it maybe they would all have to start trying not to pass it all onto us.

I'll check at the time & stay with them if they are cheapest still.

Thanks for letting me know though.

or switch now and get quidco of up to £100 and then switch back to BG once quidco has paid out (BG pay £60).
