Energy Saving bulbs... It's finally happened
Ive finally run out of my 100W bayonet fitting bulbs that i stockpiled when i found them cheap.
How its a bit more of a pain to find them.. ive just put in a phillips 18w (100w equivalent... MY A***) and it is even worse thani thought it would be even after "warm up" time...
are they any decent bulbs that you can pick up from the supermarkets nowadays or whatever?

Are those spots or bulbs?

You might want to wait for the prices to come down. But they really are what you want to be buying, check lumens not wattage equivalent. When you consider price take into account that the fluorescent tube bulbs only last 5 years if that. These are 25+ years.

How is the throw on them?
Are they good enough to light up a decent sized room as a single main light (one bulb)?
Im assuming you cant get them for £9 any more :P

it was ebay, I asked for more but he said he couldn't source them any more. I have 3 on a 5 bulb rack because 5 would be too bright.
