I'm after a bit advice on an engagment present for a young couple. They have their own house and are both 24. Im looking to spend around £20.

I've got a few ideas but am not confident with them!

Thanks

What are your ideas so far? As you know them best, not us.
Could always ask what they need to help out. If not then just ensure its something for both of them.

I think for a wedding present you should give something practical but enagements are a celebration type present so I would go for a bottle of bubbly ..

It sounds good on the face of it, but obviously the OP will know them best however we recently got engaged and thankful no one has got us bubbly due to us pending moving so theyre doubling up as moving in presents as well. However, if i got bubbly I'd be quite disappointed as I've got 3 bottles sat here already, with reasons though:
1 - For Graduation
2 - For when we move in
3 - For any random event

But that is just me.

go for something like a next gift card, we got our first place last year and got lots of bottles of bubbly, towels etc etc but we already had bought all our towels and my oh doesnt drink bubbly but a few people got us next gift cards which were good as they last ages plus when we decided to change the colours in the living room in the summer we were able to use them to get bits from the new season range

I think the gift card is a good idea, let them get something they really want :)
