  I would only bother to engrave something "timeless" that can be kept: Jewelry, Watches, Pens.

  Problem with engraving technology is that it wont last forever. After acouple of years itll be made redundant and devalue vastly as technolog will. Call me old fashioned but I would probably stick with the jewellery for engraving.

  Can the back casing not be replaced on the ipad? Just a thought. She probably won't resell as she will use anything until it won't be used no more!
