Just be careful not to get into a contract and want to leave it - they WILL charge you.

Moved from EDF to EON fixonline 5 only yesterday. Quidco tracked at £62 not the £70 promised and the savings are supposed to be £300 a year.
Downside is it’s a fix till March 2011 with a £30 penalty if I have to move.
Tried a couple of the comparison sites first and both chose his one at EON.
I pay £100 gas and £80 electricity by DD each month.

with eon atm, make sure u ask quarterly billing if not u only get bill every 6 months. they never told me about it and my DD jumped at £128 a month from £60 all cos i never got a bill to see my usage was increasing. CS is rubbish

did u actually work it out yrself if they were cheaper, rather than just use a comparision site? ive often gone to uswitch and they have told me xxx is cheaper, but when worked out they arent.

this part of the website is only for feedback on the actual site !

i have not worked it out myself just gone through u switch but i do know what u mean as i am currently with npower and uswitch said i cud save x amount if i switched to another tariff with npower and when i spoke to npower there quote was actually around £50 less than what i cud save

E:ON's customer service is pitiful and i doubt they're the cheapest in your area. they're constantly overcharging me.

I'm changing as soon as i can.

Have had no problems with Eon since moving to them a couple of years ago - we have changed to economy 7 and change back to standard tariff every summer when the storage heaters go off - and so far the cs staff I have spoken to have always been very helpful and knowledgeable. I have spoken to 1 cs rep tho who was absolutely useless lol so if you dont get what info you need just hang up and try again as most of them are very good :-). Also you can change tariff online easily as well as submitting readings and I've no complaints so far.
