ESTA aplication - save $14 per person. Free until the 9th September

If you travel to the US you need to complete an online visa waiver form (ESTA) before you go. They are free at the moment but a charge of $14 per person will be made from September.

https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/esta.html

So if you are travelling within the next 2 years, or even think you might, apply online now at https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov and save yourself enough for a double skinny chocca latte with sprinkles.

NB Only apply through this official site; other official looking sites charge you anyway for what is currently a free service.

Interesting to know, thank you. So it's perfectly fine for me to apply now, even if I don't go to the States in the next two years?

Yes - the ESTA is valid for 2 years and travel is not compulsory!

Not a DEAL... moved to Misc :)
#10
Don't see how you can apply for this as you need to state where you will be staying in the States. I'd vote Cold but I've already voted Hot.. :(
#11
Whats the point in handing over all your details now just because you "might" go, fair enough if you have already booked a holiday to the US for the next few years. Personally i would know if i was going in the next two years and considering the amount your paying for the holiday i dont think another £9 is that much to worry about. Ive had to pay on lots of holidays ive been on before, went to Egypt in june and july and thats £15 per person.

Put "New York" then change it if you ever go with the update feature. Now, would you like me to come and sharpen your pencil for you?

According to this site's arcane rules, it is either a DEAL or a FREEBIE, not "misc."

I suggest you reconsider.

Virus, i think your name is very fitting. You seem to have a problem with everyone on here
#21
Not everyone - some people have been appreciative and can read posts properly.

I have no idea whether your own name is fitting - but I can guess what "dh" stands for.

I think you need to realise thats its messages like this that receive the most criticism on this site and people can turn on you very quickly. Hold your tongue a little and you'd have less problems

Haha, dont worry the majority of people on here resort to correcting grammar and spelling when they have nothing constructive to add. I didnt realise i was writing a formal letter! Its a forum, does it really matter that much to you!? I hope it annoys you!

And as for the "sent to Coventry" remark . . . . . your soooo witty! Ive never heard that one before! Excuse me for coming to Coventry, getting a degree and making something of myself!

And FYI i can read perfectly well -

1 I'm waiting for the thread to be deleted. As you have hi-jacked it, I'm responding while it's still here.

2 Yes I have a degree but, unlike you, I don't boast about it.

3 I wondered if yours was in a real subject; you've already established it's not in English.

I didnt boast about it, you made a comment about Coventry and i explained why im in Coventry. Simple really.

i explained why im in Coventry
.... and therefore why you don't need to go to America, but you wish to spoil a thread for those who may be interested.

Be ambitious - leave Coventry. It really is a ****-hole. (Self-censored).

I go to America for at least 2 weeks in every year as i have family in Fullerton California.
I myself was born in Knightsbridge London as my father was in the Knightsbridge guards although i grew up in the New Forest where my parents run a very successful business.
I met my now fiancee on my University course and set up home with her, over looking the less beautiful areas of Coventry for the sake of love was a good choice in my view.
Ive got plenty of ambition thank you very much!

You see because you dont know me you wouldnt know anything about me or my family and quite how successful we are. I dont care what Coventry looks like as a city because i live in a brand new build apartment not on the street
