Euro 2008 - How many times are the English mentioned per match?

As per title - England ARE NOT in Euro 2008.

They weren't in it at the start, they're not in it now.

How PATHETIC is it that EVERY match that has been played in this competition has had a reference by the commentating team about England (either ITV or the EBC):

Turkey - Kazim Kazim - Pure 100% English him, innit

Spain - Lots of English players here

I mean, Jesus guys get over it.

Even in the Russia game they kept referring to the players that pummeled them into the ground.

No England? The world will keep turning. You're not as well liked as you'd all like to think.

The only reason English teams go so far in club competitions is the IMPORTS.

The annoying thing about the whole debacle is that not a single FA official still is yet to be held responsible, granted Steve McClown was the manager but these faceless FA officials allowed McClown to continue farting about when it were apparent to everyone he had little clue in what to do.

I get your point, but I didn't really mean that.

My point is, as a neutral, I really really don't want to hear commentators droning on about English football when the English aren't in it!

How about commentating on the club divisions of the teams that are playing?!?!?!?!

And as for Alan Hansen? Hope he dies a horrible death as a human fireball. He is the worlds biggest *****.

I've heard Motty mention 1966 about one thousand nine hundred and sixty six times since the start of the tournament.

totally, I would too, but there is that <5 seconds> where they do say summat interesting and I don't want to miss it!

Seriously, their total lack of regard for the Scottish/N. Irish and Welsh viewers smacks of disrespect.

WE PAY THE LICENCE FEE TOO.

As for the ITV, f*ck 'em, they're all p*icks. :p
