I might be interested as im needing Euros soon lol

Does the post office charge commission? I have 80€ in notes but I might use them in the future.
Would it be more beneficial to just keep the notes for the future?

Probably wise to hold onto them if you're not desperate for the money.

I've noticed some of the clothing in tescos and adams have the price in euros on the ticket too, does that mean you can pay for the clothing using euros???

Agreed. The current exchange rate, plus commision losses make it not viable in my mind.

Thats why ive still got $2000 sitting in my safe here.... waiting for the exhange rate to get "better" (for my needs) else use on my next US trip. I came back with over $4000 from the previous one - all in travellers checks..... so went back last year just to spend it!

Just dont fancy another trip to the US to be honest, though at least this time its $ bills!

Donate the coins to charity.....

End of a holiday I spend the coins and keep the notes, any coins left over I give to the charity collection box on the plane. Not worth the exchange commission.

I paid mine into my nationwide bank account and paid no commission. Might be worth checking with your bank :)

t0mm - I think you better start a thread in FS/T if you do want to sell them - as we can't trade in here.

No, I didn't mean it that way, just that if he does want to sell he'll have to do it there. Anyway, I might retract mine too - I'm not really sure I could be bothered holding on to a pile of coins for the sake a few quid. I was only trying to help out t0mm as he helped me in the past with a couple of things, and I know he needs spare cash for the away games! eh t0mm?! :-D
