To enable these game changes, the number of Lucky Stars you can choose from will go from 11 to 12, and the cost of a EuroMillions line will change to £2.50. - NeoTrix

Those stupid adverts put me off doing that. Looks like they had a budget of £50 for marketing with ''pretend'' winners holding up massive prizes.

A family friend won £170000 in Rothwell not long back and he was on one of those stupid adverts too :)

I'm not saying it's not genuine, but the advertisement is on par with madbid.com adverts.

Surely there's an option to opt out of being in advertising if you want to be anonymous!

Yea that's what people want, bigger prizes because anything under £40m isn't worth playing (_;)

Mental.

Mental at this price, mental that people still pay this every week, sometimes multiple times.

Of course you can stay anonymous, he either opted in or was paid to do the advert.

The reason I do not even consider the postcode lottery is they have never published their full stats

Will the price of tickets go up to €2.50 in the other European countries? We have paid over the odds for a long time compared to our European neighbours when taking the exchange rate into consideration.

They're throwing another number into the mix so I would imagine its changing all over.

The only reason it makes wins bigger, is because they are making it even more impossible to win

The prizes don't need to be an bigger, I don't get the logic behind the prize hike. Raise the price and make it harder to win... :(

I don't see why they didn't just leave it the way it was (the original lottery) £1 a go and 1-49. No doubt this will follow suit soon and be £2.50 a go.
It did make me laugh a while ago when I heard that you've actually got more chance of being run over by a bus on the way to buy your lottery ticket (if you were buying it from a shop) than you would of actually winning the lottery
