EXPIRED - Ryanair online check in - I'm confused!!!!

I've booked and paid for my flights. I've opted to pay for two suitcases and opted for online check in.

Am I going mad but when I print out the boarding pass it says one piece of cabin luggage. What do I do with my suitcases???

seriously - you are asking this question?

ok..................cabin luggage is luggage you take in the CABIN

suitcases go in the HOLD

you check your cases in and carry on your ONE piece of CABIN luggage

You check in online, meaning no need to queue up and put in your bags.

Obviously he has bags.

I suggest you think before you answer as i've seen a cpost or two of yours which are out of order.

OP : PM Emasu he will help you promptly!

Sorry perhaps I've not made myself clear.

What I wanted to know is whether online booking was restricted only to those who do not have checked (i.e paid for) luggage.

If so I'm knackered.

I have never checked in online before and I was hoping that someone could tell me what the procedure was with Ryanair

Not that I gone on a plane much but I thought the online check in was just for people with no luggage, just like a small bag to go on board with.

On my hols last week, on-line checkin means you don't have to arrive so early at the airport, you still need to check the bags but the boarding pass is just pre printed to save time

My itinerary states:

********80.00 GBP Total Fare

*********0.00 GBP Taxes, Fees & Charges

********40.00 GBP Passenger Fee: Checked Bag(s)

********20.00 GBP Passenger Fee: Web Check in

********80.00 GBP Total Paid

Why have you paid £20 to check in online ??:?

and

********40.00 GBP Passenger Fee: Checked Bag(s)

********20.00 GBP Passenger Fee: Web Check in
Only comes to £60 not £80:?

Ryanair ramped up the fees to check in airport, and because they are changing to an all online check in system they gradually phased it in for all passengers, including those with hold baggage with Biscuitman is a part of. It costs more to check in at airport with hold baggage than it does to check in online with hold baggage.

They're moving everyone to online check in for everyone from that date - it will be mandatory.

You had the option to check in online and 'bag drop' if you had hold luggage from Mid March, whilst still being able to check in at the airport. This was cheaper (and still is) than paying to check in at the airport.

IT's possible that its the card charge for using a certain type of card?

Im unsure if its charged per ticket or for the whole booking.

If you have paid by any other means than an ectron/ card then it will be £5 per person each way

Sussed it out:

I paid £10 each way for the flights (£20)
I paid for 2 suitcases (£40)
I paid for 4 x web check in (£20) - still think this part is a con but hey £80 for 4 return flights is sweet

paid via entropay so no charges:thumbsup:
