#5
asb has poor judgement and just loves his mod status - simple

I was thinking the same thing.
#8
or, it's a Mod saying please don't try and use the site without sorting your disputes out first?

Lol enjoy your suspension

Since when did you have to be close any other posts before posting another?
#12
It's called getting your priorities in order. simple really... an unresolved FS/FT post should come way before misc posts about ipod's/etc.

If I was dealing with someone and they were messing me around I wouldn't be too happy if they were still able to just go around the site as normal.

Cheers Flodd, good to see a bit of common sense being aired.

The OP in question requires assistance, yet ignores issues regarding outstanding trades. Do I really need to explain further?

I would have thought a PM would have sufficed, not a public whipping lol

Normally that would be fine but it hasn't happened before. There was a thread were a scammer was pretty much baiting the guy he scammed in a misc thread yet he was allowed to post all over the place. strange if it's a one off but a welcome addition if it's applied across the board to all users.

so then you cannot post nonsense or participatein misc threads until a FS/T dispute has been sorted....................

Don't bother it'll be locked soon as someone is daring to question one of their posts.

show me the rule
#23
Quite funny as I am sure there are instances of people being allowed to raise new FS/FT items even though they still have outstanding issues with past sales.
#24
posting in the FS with outstanding issues on another then yeh, but the misc Q that was posted NO sorry.

I'm stunned the usual suspects can't see the issue with this. We're here to protect and ensure site compliance. Failing to address issues when asked shows a complete disregard for other members of the forum and as such access will be restricted.

PM's can be (and largely are) ignored.

Just one thing ASB, you were asking for pics of an item that was already sold to me - which surely is irrelevant?

Am I missing something? All I can see on there is a request for pics, not any disputes?
#30
lock the thread that had the issue not the one that didnt.

No, the 1st quote relates to the DS, the others are there to highlight the fact that pics were also requested but ignored. This is about bumps and ensuring compliance.

Is this a new rule? Not disagreeing with it in fact it makes total sense I've just never seen it applied before.

I can't see the problem on the thread other than pics:?

If you honestly think there needs to be a rule that says "please ensure you have no outstanding FS/FT obligations before farting around on other sections of the site" then please remind me not to purchase anything from you...

From the code of conduct:

We reserve the right to delete any deals, messages, posts, profile locations, signatures or other and for any reason at all. It's also not a given right to expect an explanation why this is done either by PM or in a thread reply. However, we will try to let you know provided we have the time and ability to do so.

Any member failing to live up to their responsibilities can expect the same. Quite often requests will be made on the board ensuring we are fully open and that it also serves as a reminder for others to comply.

lol

I love the last line of defence

every contract has this, "we reserve the right to change the rules at anytime"

I for one, believe you have far more intellegence than that
#40
they posted a thread regarding a family members ipod being lost and wanted advice. i dont see that as farting around. stop trying to rule the place with an iron fist lol its not needed in every case. This is where mods should be chosen carefully, someone that can use good judgement. Not just put up a stop sign.
