Hi
Thinking of getting a netbook something like a nc10.
I never use discs however very occasionally if we took it on holiday may take an external disc drive to watch a film or sons may take a few games such as plants and zombies. is the screen size a problem for games and films or does it adjust itself to fit.
Similarly if i had MS word on it would i see all the document or would i have to use the scroll bit at the bottom for the width. Sorry dont know anyone who has a netbook.
I really want a netbook rather than a laptop due to size and weight.
Thanks in advance.

it adjusts to fit. MS word looks impossibly small on a 10'' netbook i think!

Thanks i better take a look. i have been into pc world and tinkered with the keys but cant seem to get onto anything like word. Felt a bit silly asking but think i will swallow my pride and ask before splashing out any cash. Great news about films and games just documents i am worried about.
Thanks repped you both.

I use it just fine. I just zoom out to around 75% document size and then disable all toolbars I don't use. Obviously still need to scroll to view it all, or zoom out more.

Videos resize themselves anyway, and if they are low quality they will look better as they will be on a smaller screen anyway. Gaming is ok, but only basic games as netbooks dont have a dedicated graphics card. Furthermore, games you will just need to select the screen resolution of the screen to fit...very simple, and most of the time games detect a suitable one that will at least work.

And I own a Dell Mini 9.
