I am looking for a compliant exterrnal hard drive for my 360 and I was considering getting the 500GB Seagate ST3500601XS-RK External HDD eSATA with 2 Port eSATA Controller, does anyone know if this is compliant and if it can be used, if not any suggestions welcomed.

Thanks in advance

I have got a packard & bell store & save 250GB. I have tried linking this via USB but no joy. I imagine if this was possible microsoft would lose money on the sale of the hard drives. Having said that if anyone has managed it, please let me know.
Digressing slightly, If I was to buy the arcade with the 256mb, would this save my gameplay. I mainly play online, COD4 HALO3

Wrong FAT32 is 127GB ,but yes it won't take files larger than 4GB.

Now for your question I read it can only play music of aUSB hard drive, not sure how accurate that is.

i've played a video off mine,it did jerk abit as the data couldn't transfer fast enough

No it wasn't. FAT32 simply doesn't allow files larger than 4GB, it's nothing to do with limitations to stop you from watching HD Movies.
