Hi Folks,

I bought my husband some Grand Prix tickets for Silverstone in June. We have finally found a camper van for hire during the week but we are not sure about campsites. We will arrive on the Thursday and leaving on the Monday.

I've been on Silverstone offical website and there are a few but only 1 with electic hook up! Then there's the price - £265 for the weekend and they are full.

Has anyone every been before and knows of a campsite nearby with electric hook up that might not be full or so expensive?

Thanks

Hi Katrb

I stayed here last year, it's next to Silverstone and has direct access:

Good luck

Cosgrove is pretty cheap..

About 10 miles from Silvertstone, on the edge of MK

try Silverstone Rally School They have hard standing for camper vans 01327 857413 ask for Andy. Only 5 mins from the circuit to walk. Great quiet spot. The only take camper vans. They also open the coffee bar for full english breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. The prices are very good compared to everywhere else.

Helicopter was only £35 each - didn't last long though but well worth it. I booked it through Elite Helicopters.

The Kangaroo TV was £60 plus deposit of £200 (which they still haven't released off my card) but was worth it - especially for qualifying.

We are from Scotland so miles too far to travel for the Renault day!!
