F1 in HD

Anyone read anything on this? or heard any rumours/news?

Makes me laugh that the whole Entertainment industry is trying to push 3D TV, when they can't even sort out HD properly.

I know the lack of F1 in HD is not the BBC's fault, but surely anyone with an ounce of common sense who controls this side of things would realise the millions globally who watch it on TV every other week are more than likely to now have a HD set at home

F1 is sold to something like 100 copuntries and something like 6 of them have decent HD services so it just isn't worth Bernie the bolt's time and money to upgrade...

the whole idea of it is nonsensical to me...we are watching the finest drivers driving the most technologically advanced racing cars yet they cant whack 15 or so HD camera's around each circuit..Bernie is missing a trick, I'd gladly pay £5 a race on Pay per view if it meant full HD

I was in Sydney last year and watched it at a friends house in what seemed to be HD, it could have been up-scaled. either way the picture and colours were far superior to our naff signal....I've been hampering after it ever since.

I am absolutely itching in my pants for this season to get under way, I loathed Schumacher for a number of years, but soon came round to seeing him as the master of his day, he is like the F1 ambassador, and I can't wait to hear him mentioned as being on the starting grid.

Shame they couldn't get Murray Walker back in for a few races, out with Legard in with Walker

im kinda growing to legard, i think this year will be overall slightly better in their whole team now they have had a year to gel and get to grips with it.

I loved Schumacher back in the day always a man who was on the ragged edge and the limit, when he needed a time he would pull it outta the bag. To see him up against the likes of Hamilton, Button, Alonso and Massa (who should now be in fast cars if they can continue to show good speed like they did in Valencia testing over the next few testing events) Vetel, and webber is just gonna be friken awesome

It should really be a tantilising season.

I get what you mean though it is the pinnacle of motorsport, everything is at the limit of technology and speed why not kit it out with HD broadcasts.
