Fallout 3, fable was a bit of a let down tbh.. esp the ending. OMG!

I've got both.

I've played Fable 2 the most, love it, tons more to do even after you've done the main quest.

Only played Fallout 3 a little bit, because i've sat and watched my mother ad my son play it and find it unbelievably depressing, I can't get up any interest in it.

But thats just my opinion, I like to play something a bit less drab and soul destroying in my leisure time.

I've just started fallout 3.... please tell me it gets better!! So far I've been a baby who can say daddy, and a 10 year old running around my birthday party. That's the point where I turned it off.

Not played it much myself...only just got out of the vault...but yeah that was annoying as hell

It gets a lot better once ur out of the vault... still early days for me too... the VATS thingy does drive me nuts tho!

I've not bothered getting out of the vault, I've seen the drab graphics you wander about in after.

I find the whole statistics thing with shooting takes any fun out of the game there could ever have been, great if your a statistician and love to take your work home with you.

wow, did you have any idea what kind of game this was before you picked it up?

i'm guessing you didn't buy it if you gave up so soon though... if you did buy it and still have it, i imlore you to see that bit through - it took me less than half an hour to get to the main game, that is pretty much just an introduction and character building section.

should add i absolutely love this game, it's superb in every department for me and has me completely hooked.

Am I the only one to think both look boring?

I have just finished both. I think I preferred Fable 2, just. To be honest, you won't be disappointed with either one both are excellent games.

Fallout 3 - no contest here.

both are action rpgs so if you aren't into that kind of game you might be in trouble. However, I wasn't until I played mass effect, that turned everything on it's head for me. It's now a genre I am hooked on.

Should also add these games are not to be confused with 'JRPG' games such as final fantasy, which are turn based and have a lot less emphasis on action.

OMG how many hours have I spent playing Fallout 3 :w00t:

Not my usual FPS (read TF2 blow the carp out of anything that moves), but was hooked after first hour. The character building and skills assignment at the start was a refreshing change to just picking 10 of this, 5 of that etc
