I wish Facebook would hurry up and die. It's been around far too long already.

We'll see. They weren't even profitable for a long time (I don't know if they are now). There's still plenty of time for them to make bad investment choices and I reckon most of their user base is over 60.

Totally agree
while I can see valid nsfw reasons for banning this
why have they also banned a 500+ year old drawing of a mans hand ?

Yeah, but I'm not in the mood to argue about it this evening.

Seems Zuckerberg doesn't like real journalism...

I doubt he had anything to do with the decision.

Sheryl Sandberg is where the (face)buck will stop.

Yet I reported this today and was told it doesn't breach their Community Guidelines:

Once upon a time, people such as Zuckerberg and those that created the likes of Google were ideologists.

I think that Google even had some form of motto that said something along the lines of Do no Evil.

Now that these people have become billionaires and have tasted power, their ideologies have gone out of the window.

This is not surprising as it is a very common general human trait, with power corrupting absolute power.

Somewhere along the line there will be new ideologists that will create ventures that will render Facebook, Google and others obsolete, just as happened when these companies began.

It's just a continual circle of dog eat dog that has always existed and always will.

In the mean time, as long as the hundreds of millions of people that still buy into the products, then they will continue to be given power and to act accordingly, so it's always a case of you get what you deserve hen you are happy to simply follow every trend and fashion without ever really questioning it.
