i work for mobile phone company and wenever this happens it usually 1 of 2 things either software update needed or pressure bin applied to screen. have u had it more than 28 days? if no take back to shop with receipt and they should change it for you!

Got this phone on the 16th march-was a replacement for the nokia 5800

i orderd it from vodafone online

i think it has the latest software on it

Also u can only see this line when taking/recording and playback on videos, its fine on the main menue screen etc

sometimes it still needs a software update it happens every other day at work. ring vodafone up and ask them to send you a jiffy bag so you can send it back, with all the paperwork they will send you a new one dont settle for a software update tho until its been 28 days.
was this for an upgrade?

originaly i orderd a nokia 5800 but that had a problem and then that was replaced with another 5800 which was also faulty,i then gave up with them and went and for the storm which of course cost me more on my tarrif,it was a new contract to begin with,im not even realy sure how to update the firmware on the stor and im thinking it the problem will still be there,i cant find any info on google about this problem ither :(

ive had the same problem mate, basically it means its knackered,

My blackberry storm had a similar problem to the one you described, i was told by vodaphone that it is unfixable and if i want a replacement it will be another £50. I wasn't paying that amount so i kept on using it but eventually the line got bigger until half of the screen was dodgey.

edit: as mentioned above, it's knackered

just spoke to vodafone and there sending me a new one out tomorrow,no charge too
#14
anyone know how i retore the phone to facotry default?

just make sure u check if the new one is ok and if it is send back asap
