They may well be genuine but I'd be asking myself whether they are seconds.

The description about the packaging gives that away, why does it not say sealed in original packaging.

Anything not sealed in it's original packaging says second to me.

Also always check out the other sort of stuff they sell, all his goods maybe imported.

what?
This item will be shipped in protective packaging including a retail box. Scroll down for the details of the headphones.
isnt the retail box the original packaging?

from my experience 'protective packaging' means their own packing in the original box.

I wouldn't buy them, while you can't tell the difference between them and the real ones you will when they break within 2 weeks. I bought 2 pairs but not from ebay and both broke withing 2 weeks.

yeh well if they do i can just get my money back cant i? if i say theyre not as described.

So I think they maybe seconds from Apple that they buy in bulk then sell them in their own packaging but in the Apple box.

They probably buy a boat load of seconds and sift through them to find the working ones which they pack......

This is only what I think from my experience.

I actually buy the creative ones which I know are seconds but at £3 a pair I don't care.

I was just trying to point out that genuine doesn't necessarily mean perfect

Way too many fakes around - and they're pretty indistinguishable from the originals (except in sound quality but I don't hear many good things about iPod headphones anyway!) so I'd avoid eBay at all costs. If they turn out to be fake, i'm sure the seller will take them back but that'd be too much hassle for me.

Best bet is to get a pair of similarly priced Sennheisers or Creatives - not from eBay / Playtrade / Amazon Marketplace. It's just not worth risking buying a cr*ppy pair to save a few quid.

Apple don't sell any of their goods in many places so I find it hard to beleive that so many 'Genuine Ipod Earphones' are available via ebay.

I would almost guarantee that hese are fake or seconds.
