Is there any of these glue on ones that are less damaging than the rest? I know its not the best think to do but daugher is adamant she wants them on, going somewhere special at weekend, the stick on ones are cack and i know the glue ones do damage your nails, it is only a one off she wll be using them, any ideas guys are they all as bad as each other?

she doesnt want those, mind the ones in out pound shop are real cack, i am still trying to persuade her not to use them, but also appreciate why she wants them

I don't buy false nails but I think you can get ones that stick on with adhesive tabs, instead of the glue, the glue damn dangerous, its like super glue.
Her best bet is to grow them in future!

I'm not keen on false eylashes, contact lenses and false nails, make me cringe thought of.

Ok nothing else really to suggest unless you got a packet for the nail salon for whatever they offer.

Just go careful with the glue ok.

tbh I think its more in fashion for nails to be nicely manicured and not too long at moment

However mine are usually long and painted all different colours but I'm not with it anyway!

That age they want to be all like their friends.

yes they do, and like i say i normally say no and that is that, but i do know how she feels, and would be happier if she would have the stick ons, but she has had them before (xmas stocking - lol) and they just flick off after about an hour

there a pic of my hand lol.you wonder why with the pic,but I was selling the rings on eBay.

All I can suggest if you go ahead,is when you do remove them, you rub plenty nail cream in cos the glue will dry the nail out.

shes a good kid, and if i say no then that would be it, she knows the boundaries and doesnt really push them, she has asked and i have tried to explain it isnt good and the consequences blah de blah, but do feel for her as she wants to be like the other girls who wear them all the time, we have a few days to make a decision

Sassie, a good tip for strong, long nails is to eat a cube of jelly every day, but if you only have a few days, then that won't help you.
I would take her to an expert to get them done but it is probably very expensive. :)

hi sophie, from what i can gather from friends who have them done) the stuff they use is as damaging as the boots/shop purchased ones, just about 4 times the price

My Mum use to say that to me as a kid.She used to make a jelly in this rabbit mould, infact i've got the mould in my kitchen now.I used to always have 1 cube before she made the jelly.

I'm vegetarian now though and not had a proper jelly since I was probably 14 or something.
There's lot of vegetarian jelly crystals in supermarkets, and most of the supermarket trifles etc contain vegetarian jelly.
