FAO ALL STUDENTS!!!!! (And everyone else really!)

In my final year of a degree. All my work in stored on computers. Already have a backup drive which backs up every hour, but just incase, i also have DROPBOX!

It's FREE and it the best thing you could wish for to back up your work. You get 2GB of space, and once you make changes to a document, it backs it up to your space. This means you not only have a back up of the latest saved version, but also back ups of previous versions.

You select the files in your 'drop box'. I store all my uni work in there.

Another great feature, is if your at uni, and don't have your laptop with you, simply log on to Drop Box and download it, show it to a tutor or work on it!

Works so well!!

A Must for all students.

Back up! My brother lost his masters project on a faulty hard drive 3 years ago. Don't let anything like this happen to you!

i just email anyhting important to myself (gmail) and also had an app on my memory stick to backup stuff from my computer automatically. Job done.

I guess drop box might be better in some ways tho.

Used to do this myself. But with this, you click save, and straight away drop box uploads it to your space (obviously you need to be online). Saves the hassle and it's free for 2GB :)

google mail has similar services (plus word processor) for quite some times http://docs.google.com/

as for space. adrive.com gives 50GB free online backup

good find though

Dropbox is such an excellent tool. I regularly work from home as a graphic designer, so syncing between my home PC and my work PC is ideal. Never got on with pen drives, so this is the perfect solution!
