Fassbender To Star In And Co-Produce Assassin's Creed Film
The exceptionally versatile Michael Fassbender - who's starred in films such as Inglourious Basterds, Hunger, X-Men: First Class, Prometheus, and Shame - will apparently be both starring in, and co-producing, a film based on Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed series.
According to Variety, Fassbender's production company DMC Film will be co-producing the picture alongside Ubisoft Motion Pictures.
"Michael Fassbender was our first choice" to play the franchise's iconic hooded hero, said Jean-Julien Baronnet, CEO of UMP. "Michael is an extremely smart, talented, versatile and committed actor."
Ubisoft appear to be seeking greater creative control over their transmedia products, understandable after the lukewarm reception to Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Variety report that "UMP will package the project with a writer and director before resuming talks with the studio" with Baronnet telling the magazine that Ubisoft are "open to re-discuss with the key studios once the production package is finalized".
My faith in this movie has been restored. So what do you all think of the choice?

Perfect choice but there is chance he may be playing Altair rather than Ezio
If someone pop's his pic up, you'll see why.
