actually, the correct range for women is between 25 and 32%.
13% on a women would be anorexic.
And before anyone says 25% is high, you're confusing it with BMI.
Body fat is higher on women because they have boobs, hips and derrières

lol I know what BMI and waht BF is. Anybody who is 25% is obese IMO.

13-14% is slim/average. Anything over and your getting fat:)

Not everybody is an athlete and 10% like footballers are.
I have a friend at uni and is doing a placement at Sheffield United as a fitness coach and they aim for 10% body fat.

Size 6/8 petite
19 BMI I think.

im a guy and my bmi is 15.5

you must be skinny then

So say you are 6 ft that is roughly 1.8m so 3.24m
Body mass of 15.5 means is roughly 50kg or 110 pounds so you would 7 stone 12 for a 6 foot bloke!
I think you need to do maths....

im just saying anybody over 14>% bf, should be considered fat. not obese, but should be labelled fat imo.

im about 15% at the moment, should be 12% by the end of the month though :), so im "fat" at this moment in time.

i'm a guy, 5'9", 7.6 stones

and just check and my body fat is 4.9%

oh and apple pie, i used the bmi calculator ;)

I am toned all over, run about 5 miles a day and I am 17% body fat.
I wouldn't call myself fat....far from it.
You will give people inferiority complexes and cause anorexia because most people I have seen tested are in this range
Women 22-36%
Men 15-25%
This is realistic.

thats why obesity is coming more of a common problem in the UK imo. They should be lowered.

yeah i know, i've been checked for low bone density but i'm not suffering from it as of this moment.

meant to be eating 3 meals a day with 2 snacks in between according to my GP, and yeah, managing it but it's not making a difference to my weight.

how can a guy be 7 stone 6 at 5 ft 9, you're either 12 years old or you are severely underweight.

hips?
You should be at least 9 stone at 16.
You are very underweight but that might be explained by low bone density

haha nah, been checked for low bone density.
but i've been vegetarian for most of my life and just started eating meat in the last year, hopefully that will contribute to some weight gain

My 15 yr old is bigger than you and he eats normally, in fact my 13 year old is bigger than you, but he's still into the sweets, you need to eat more protein, seriously, doesnt sound like you should wait til your 20's

I think the boy needs calcium to increase his bone density....reminds me of skinny boy on Road Trip who sleeps with a big mama when he meets their "frat" brothers
