It was member spammed as it was sold by an Amazon Marketplace retailer & not by Amazon themselves :

In stock.
Dispatched from and sold by Choiceful.

Marketplace deals are excluded from HUKD merchant criteria. Thanks.
#2
I am wondering that myself. I am not spamming. I placed the order and wanted to share with other users.
#3
i thought i had just lost it as ive been looking for it for the past 5 mins or so too.. where did it go?
#4
ok thank you. anyone know if it worth the amount quoted (if allowed to talk about it)
#5
Is it possible to share this with other forum user? Apology for before
#6
sorry for being thick, but dont understand why this post is disallowed as I feel that it is a bargain.
#7

I think it is the same as this one...

http://www.simsimgate.com/7-inch-tft-pmp-hdd-memory-dvb-t-receiver-494

... and a big misprice.

The Amazon Marketplace seller, Choiceful, appears to be http://www.choiceful.com/, at least the logo is the same... but they don't seem to sell this sort of thing...?
#10
I just ordered one of these. Worth it just for the Hdd. I dont hold out much hope of getting one though, Amazon have let me down twice cancelling orders recently.

Important Message

Feastronics 7" Portable Digital Media Player / Recorder with built in dual analog and digital freeview TV tuners, 40GB Interchangeable HD cannot be shipped to the selected address.

How handy!!! you would think N.Ireland was a foreign country!
#13
well I have found bargains like these before, and found that if you are quick you do get them before they realise the mistake. Also if they accept your payment you can argue that a contract has been made as they have accepted to take your money (turning a invitation of treat into a contract). Try it next time.

I seriously believe that this is a price mis-match, I have placed the order and waiting now
#14
Unfortunately, others on the forum will never find about it as respecting the rules, this deal stays in MISC :(
#15
likewise folks - a shame, but ordered with fingers crossed
#16
From my amazon email-

"Please note that for items ordered from Amazon.co.uk this e-mail is only an acknowledgement of receipt of your order and your contract to purchase these items is not complete until we send you an e-mail notifying you that the items have been dispatched to you. For items purchased from third parties in Marketplace, this e-mail confirms the completion of your contract to purchase those items."

Does this mean that as its from marketplace, my transaction is complete, they have to honour it?
#17
I think that I caught it. The £14.95 one?? There was one shown as available when I ordered it

Has anyone actually taken delivery yet? I received the following email within the past hour:

We had dispatched the goods as soon as your order was received.
Earlier today, we have been informed by Royal Mail that due to some unexpected technical issue at their end, a large number of packets have been damaged. We sincerely apologise on behalf of our logistics for this.
We have made a serious attempt to service this order by re-sending it again. However, our supplier has let us down at this moment by giving us the expected delivery date of January 2010.

Call me cynical but I never received a dispatch email and I very much doubt this is the case.

IS THIS LEGAL??
#20
once payment is taken and the goods dispatched aren't the goods yours ?
#21
I too have received the same 'Royal Mail has damaged the item' email, I don't for one second believe it. :x
#22
Same lame reason for me...
Absolute downright lie in my view, I've never heard such a rubbish excuse in my life.
#23
Good to see I'm not the only one. Seems they realised they messed up. As they have taken payment they can't withdraw it. So they've used this lame excuse. They gonna get stock, so why can't they fulfill it when they get this stock. Cowboys
#24
I too received the same Email. I was wondering how they were going to try and wriggle out of sending us anything. I have to hand it to them, pretty imaginative. 'Blue sky' thinking indeed. Perhaps someone should contact Royal Mail for their comment... and then perhaps Watchdog...? ;)
#25
I just emailed them calling them a liar. See how thats goes down or even if I get a response.
#26
I have asked for proof from royal mail.
#27
They stupid, why not cancel the order before hand the muppets. Wonder if they will response, I asked them for proof of dispatch. Whats the likelihood of a reply. Zero?

Same.
#29
same here sent an email asking them to keep money and send me product as they clearly are getting more. Didnt ask for proof from Royal mail though let me know if you do get it.
#30
I also wonder if it is worth talking to Amazon... they might have a view on 'Royal Mail's' disappointing service...

Do we get the chance to leave 'Amazon Marketplace' feedback if we are refunded? That could be interesting...

When did everyone get their dispatch email? Mine came today 8 Dec at 12 . Although in later email (damaged in post) at 5 o'clock said they dispatched on day of purchase 4 Dec.

Never got a dispatch email at all. Received the other at 15:36 though.
#34
Surely once the package is in the hands of the Royal Mail, it has my address on and therefore should be sent to me and not returned to sender, damaged or not!

Email received today at 16.55, no order confirmation email though.

Amazon now quotes "Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock" for the item, which is a different slant than their email.
#36
So... Royal Mail somehow damaged packets on different days (04/12/2009 & 08/12/2009) ... very poor service methinks...
#37
I am not a legal expert but my understanding of the law relating to the purchase of goods is as follows.

Once a purchase has been paid for.... it has been accepted, this forms a legally binding contract to supply the chosen goods at the agreed price and on the stated terms.

Had the seller changed their minds before the goods were paid for then that would have been a different matter as the contract to supply at agreed price would not yet have existed, in which case they would have had the right to withdraw.

In our case the purchase must have been paid for as the company is making a refund.
#38
If we all ordered different days and dispatched different days, then how could they all be damaged....What happened!?;-)
#39
Im going to request the damaged parcel and I am happy for them to keep the money.
#40
I think we should find a way to 'verify' with Royal Mail 'that due to some unexpected technical issue at their end, a large number of packets have been damaged.' and then take it from there... I imagine that 'Royal Mail' would be keen to aplogise for their poor serivice especially following the recent strikes and with Christmas almost upon us... ;)
