NEVER EVER BUY FROM BUYMOBILEPHONES.NET

Not only me... All my friends whoever has bought from buymobilephones.net have lost their money.... Their customer service is so poor. If you send the redemption form... they have hundreds of reasons to reject your redemption...

Avoid buymobilephones.net

dealkinguk can you elaborate, as I am considering a doing a 2nd contract with them for a relative, it seems to me if you send off bill copies recorded 14days after getting the bill, confirm them recieving it by e-mail or phone they are obligated to send u the form, sure their conditions are strict but most are similar.

dealkinguk I have a feeling your friends were too lazy and lax to following the conditions and be disciplined, is that accurate?

In most cases if you send off your cashback to a company's T&Cs you WILL get the cash. The problems begin to arise when the company pays late, or when you miss the claim. Yes, missing the claim WOULD be you own fault, however the companies try their best to help you forget to claim the cashback.
#8
To balance the views here, I have had four out of four claims go through and paid.

In fact BMP.net have improved their process because they now pay you via BACS, so no cheques to get to the bank.

But they do tale their time. their T&Cs say upto 56 days and they do make you wait 56 days, but they do pay if you stick to the T&Cs

I would use BMP again if they had the right deal...

Both my wife and I bought our phones through them on a 12-month free line rental deal. Our first cash back submission took about a month to get, but the second came after about a week. We've just sent in our final set of bills. I've been relatively pleased with their service and have called their office and actually talked to someone before.
#13
skorch they have a policy of only 1 cashback deal per address.

I'm surprised you got both :)
#14
That's pretty interesting. I'll look out for that the next time. I guess we got lucky.

I signed up for a cashback deal on O2, 12 months free with double minutes for the first three months.
They failed to tell me that after the three months, the double minutes would continue at £25 per month, so watch out for these little 'extras'.
Luckily, O2 gave me a full refund with no fuss.

:) Money arrived by bank transfer as planned!! Can't fault the first claim, also if you recommend a friend there is a link on the site to do so and you get £20 for your troubles. Another important thing to consider with regards to BMP.net is that:

1. You can only have the money paid into the account that you registered with them to start your contract.
2. You cannot change your tariff once you have taken out the contract for the duration of the term (Or reading between the lines you won't get your money back!!!!)

Hope this helps folks, I've recommended them to friends, seems a damn cheaper alternative to going to the provider directly!

I have ordered N70 on orange (canary 40) on a 12 months free line rental (12 months contract). Ordered on thursday, and the phone was delivered on monday. Now i am confused abt the bills to send for cashbacks. I know its a bit early, but just wana make sure evrything goes smooth in the later stages

I called them up to enquire, but they said they cant help me out with this. The thing is tht they are asking for cashback to be claimed in 4 parts. This is what they have written in their email.....

"Line rental refunds and cash backs will be paid in four equal parts; on month five, month seven, month nine and month twelve of your contract. Each claim is initiated by sending us your first five bills within 14 days of the date of the fifth bill. You must then send in your next two bills within 14 days of the date of your seventh bill, the next two bills within 14 days of the bill date of the ninth bill and your final three bills within 14 days of the date of the twelfth bill."

OK.....so now the thing is that i will recieve a total of 13 bills (the first bill in 3 weeks after i have recieved the phone, and then another 12 for a year long contract). So in the 4th stage of claim, do they want final 3 bills (i.e. 11th, 12th, 13th) or 10th, 11th and 12th bill???
They have actually mentioned that send the final 3 bills within the 14 days of 12th bill.....so i am not sure. Any suggestions on what i shud do??

Oh and just another quick note, i needed to contact vodafone about some little issues and used the website www.saynoto0870.com to find a local call charge number so didnt require have to call ghastly 0870 number. Also some things i didnt know:

The vodafone anytime 500 price plan includes FREE itemised billing, vodafone live Wap is free, and the use of checking your bills online is a great little feature!

"...Make your claim by sending in your voucher together with your first five airtime bills within the time period set out on the first voucher..."

Please may someone reply with how long this time period is? So many companies only offer a 14 day time period; too short, can easily miss the time.

Thank you

Ur rite tobyballa, with BMP you hav to send the bills back within 14 days of the date on the bill. But i think its enough time, if you get evrything else ready before hand and when the bill arrives, just send it off a royal mail special delivery. I have been with orange before and their bills arrive in 3-4 days after the date stated on the bill. So if u assume that the bill arrives 4 days after the date on the bill + 1 day when u send it via special delivery + next day delivery = 6 days(well before time)

Ps: I prefer special delivery as i have had bad experience with the recorded delivery. In my last E2Save contract the recorded delivery took 25 days to reach + bill arrived 4 days after the date on bill = 29 days.....and luckily e2save allow 30 days for cashback claims. so i aint taking any chances this time with BMP.

we r goin to recieve 13 bills according to orange and BMP. The first bill in 3 weeks time and then another 12 bills after every month. So i dont know whether they are playing a trick here while talking abt the final 3 bills. Does tht mean tht we do not do anything with the 13th bill. Thts wht i think actually, coz they are saying tht send the final 3 bills within 14 days of the date on 12th bill. So i am gona assume tht the 13th bill doesnt play any role in the cashback.....
#36
Well, I wasn't told about any other bills... I've read about similar situations in other forums about different companies but haven't heard anything like it here :? well, we will just have to wait for a little bit more, as 3 weeks are approaching (or is it 3 weeks today since we've received the phone?) and we will see whether we are getting more bills...

Hi again! got my first bill last week and things are looking clearer now. I have mentioned before in the thread that we will recieve 13 bills, but actually orange have sent a combined bill of first 3 weeks and 1st month of the contract.

So that implies we will recieve 12 bills. i dont think there will be any problem now.

I've used cashback deals before, but this one caught me out at BMP where I forgot it was 14 days rather than the usual 28. When I emailed them asking about the status of my cashback claim, they replied with:

"I have checked your records and unfortunately you have sent your bills in too late to claim the cash back. We needed the bills here within 14 days from the date on your 4th bill. The 14th day was 1st March and we did not receive the bills until 7th March. This means that you have missed your cash back for this phone and any other claims as per the terms and conditions state."

Does this mean all of my cashbacks are now void? I don't remember reading this in the T&Cs when I ordered, I haven't had any cashback yet so I'd be losing a lot of money if this was the case!!
