http://www.hotukdeals.com/go/?m=227&u=10http://www.dialaphone.co.uk/_images/_system/header/logo_dialaphone.gif

Please post your feedback based on previous transactions you have had with this company, http://www.hotukdeals.com/go/?m=227&u=10 Dial-a-Phone .

In particular, you should refer to the following aspects of your experience with them:

1) Was it Pay As You Go or contract?
2) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?
3) Did you have any problems with the order itself?
4) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?
5) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.
6) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?
7) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?

It would also help if you could put your post in GREEN if you would recommend them or RED if you wouldn't use them again. If you do not have a strong opinion on this then you may wish to leave your post BLACK .

Who is Dial-a-Phone??

Dial-a-Phone's success has come from offering the best deals in mobile phones direct to the public over the phone and through our website. Without the expense of high street shops, Dial-a-Phone cuts out the middleman and so is able to pass on the savings to customers.

Dial-a-Phone is a major UK advertiser, and can be seen every day in many of the national newspapers. Regular advertising slots on TV, as well as in national magazines and across the Internet, has made Dial-a-Phone's website one of the most visited mobile phone sites in the country.

Dial-a-Phone has grown from a handful of people in 1995 to now having over 600 employees. In that time Dial-a-Phone has supplied mobile phones on monthly contract to 2.9 million customers, and since it launched in 2000 over 550,000 customers have connected from the website.

What about QuidCo cashback?

QuidCo cashback with this retailer is good but it is limited, £50 extra cashback with all contracts taken out on o2, Orange, T-Mobile or 3 at http://www.quidco.com/dial-a-phone/ QuidCo.com .

Flippin eck Ducky.

I've had three phones from Dial-a-phone.
All on three network. Fast delivery and cashback is good and simple to claim. You have vouchers to send off.
I never went through Quidco, I forgot. PITA.
I would use them again but their deals are not as good now as they use to be. I've had no reason to speak or email them.

I'll let you colour it and put the numbers in.

 You don't have to use the numbers... it's just a guide for points you might want to talk about. I can see how using the numbers would make it easier to reply.

I must add though that these guys are really quite professional when it comes to cashback... very speedy!! Even though their deals aren't that good...

i have had a 12 month 02 contract with dial a phone which ended on the 11th of august, no problems with my previous cashbacks however i have not received a final bill and i think this is becos no activity on last bill, i have rang 02 and have been passed from pillar to post and have a strange answer of your last bill will go to print on the 4th of sep, anyway my cashback voucher has to be received by dial a phone by the 11th of sep, has anyone else had an issue like this and how did you work around it?
for now i have posted my july bill which shows line rental paid till 10th of aug which is the day my contract expires, i am hoping dial a phone will just issue my cashback on this.

I am actually having a few problems with them with regards to cash back.

The Paperwork that they sent does not match the dates for the cash back when logging into the website.

I have sent both bills ( it specified two different dates) with a covering letter and photoopies of all paperwork and both have been returend with the generic robot letter.

After 1/2 an hour on the phone I got through to speak to someone but they could not discuss cash back as its not thier department and they have no phone number to call, even when explaining the situation to someone incharge they just tell me to write to the address, which I have done with no sucsess.

My next step is to go to a Dial a phone store with all paperwork and insist that I will not leave until it is sorted.

I have had phones with them before and had no trouble, but this one is turning into a stinker, so much so that i would probably not use them again. Especially as I have had faultless service from e2save.

We have too many phones in this house.

I had a slight problem with the first cashback, but we complained to the Chief exec, who had his PA sort it within a couple of days. It turned out that Customer services were short staffed or something, but once the management knew they had a problem, they sorted it quickly.
I would use them again.

I had the same problem with o2 - 3 times they promised to send the bill, but it never arrived. Luckily I was able to download a copy of the bill from the o2 website and this was accepted by my retailer - look in d-a-p's t's and c's to see if they will accept this.

Thanks to all for the advice, i am still stuck as i was not registered with o2 online, just tried now but unsuccesful as my contract ended on the 11th of august, so it looks like i am going to have to keep ringing o2 until i get a bill.

A few weeks ago, my girlfriend got a contract phone through dial-a-phone online. It came with a cashback offer of £160, redeemable at various stages of the 12-month term. Yesterday I went for the same offer, but when I got to the confirmation page I noticed that they cunningly stated that the cashback is not in fact cash but amazon.co.uk gift vouchers. Something my girlfriend did not notice, and has caused her to become concerned.

I contacted their sales team and they said that some of the cashback offers were in the form of vouchers and some were cash. So, I mentioned about my girlfriends concern only to be told to ring customer services.

Dial-a-phone's customer service consists of an automated faq robot... Which does not mention this problem? And their Customer Services email is automated to reply that no one is going to read your email.

Her contract says that she will receive cash, but she's still unsure whether she's going to get vouchers or cash.

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? Or know how she can find out for what type of cashback she is getting.

An update from my earlier post...

My girlfriends cashback is actually cash. But Dial-A-Phone customer services say that if you buy a contract phone and use a referal website i.e. Quidco, then the cashback, in some instances, is in the form of Vouchers. You've been warned! :o

Evening All,

Can anyone shed some light on recent dealings with Dial-a-Phone? Has the experience been smooth or have problems arisen with some of the deals that have been taken out?

Having looked around at various cash-back deals from different online retailers only CPW and Dial-a-Phone seem worth going with at the present moment. The deals are not entirely free but the T&C's seem more bearable then others.

Thanks,

I'm with dialaphone, got a samsung U600 and got £60 cashback with Quidco, a free Nintendo Wii & wii sports and I pay £36.00 a month for 500 mins / 200 free texts and I claim £40 every three months- got paid my first cashback really quickly too :)

I recommend them!
Not sure that there's as good a deal as I got at the moment, but it's definitely worth a look :)

Evening juliet_bravo,

Your quick response is greatly appreciated!

There are a few good deals with Dial-a-Phone I am interested in. The deals are not going to allow me to have £0.00 line rental for the year but I am willing to compromise that by dealing with a good retailer who does not make it hard to claim back money.

Your experience seems to have gone well so thanks for your comments. Is there anything else I should be aware of before taking out the deal? The only other retailer I may opt for is CPW.

Thanks,

Carphonewarehouse partially run Dial-A-Phone so it's 6 of one, half a dozen of the other.

So I was looking at a dial-a-phone contract but I'm greatly put off by the distinct lack of any T&Cs for the cashback deal I'm looking at. The only information I can find regarding it is "Your £220.00 cashback is available by redemption in 3 stages: £70.00 at month 6, £75.00 at month 9 and £75.00 at month 12." Which isn't all that helpful to me. I even went through filling out all the payment details but still nothing on the terms of the cashback deal.

If someone could point me in the right direction for them I'd be ever grateful, thanks.

Edit: Sorry I suppose I should have made a new topic >_<

dial a phone seem to be doing decent deals, but i need it to be as trouble-free as possible as i really won't have time to resolve any problems should one arise, and the fact you speak to a robot if you phone them is putting me off a bit
