Is that board still staffed or what? Considering this site now needs two extra mods and a no longer staffed for sale board surely the priorities should lie with this board now

Are you finding there's problems with a lack of moderation? I don't spend long in there but generally mod action tends to be fairly fast, there was a thread about a laptop incorrectly there and by the time I had reported it (just to say it needed moved) Emma had beaten me to it.

No, not at all, the moderation for unimportant cack is A1, i am referring to the fact that there is a feedback forum that nobody really seems to bother with, we are a month down the line and still have the same "bugs" we started with, maybe this is a show of how much is taken onboard from the feedback forum, keeping everyone, especially those that point out the errors, up to date with the bugs, errors, cack, whatever you wanna call them would be a start

I don't think that's a moderation issue, I'm sure the issues have been noted but I doubt a forum of this complexity is as easy to fix as a snap of the fingers.

ermmm not sure what you think the moderators jobs are then, they are here to help with the running of hukd, now the feedback forum should be a priority, if they want the members to report problems then surely its decent that we know what problems are, and what have been reported, and whats being done, saves the continual postings of problems and saves members wasting their time wouldnt you say

That's not the moderator's job - they are here to maintain the running of the forum, they are not responsible for actually modifying and updating the forum software which is the administrator's job. Judging by the active moderation which is apparent in the feedback forum, the moderators are doing their job as they should,

Your complaint appears to be aimed at the administration of the forum not the moderation.

My complaint is aimed at admin and his team, the members here are giving there free time to report bugs, etc, etc, the least admin and his team can do is keep those up to date rather than members continually wasting there time with things that have been reported numerous amounts of time per week

I am not asking admin or his team to modify or update the forum software, just its members

Moderators have nothing to do with the infrastructure & programming of the site sassie.

That's no excuse Emma, get back to work - I expect to see at least five bugs fixed within the next hour.:geek:

nowhere in my posts have i mentioned the team bug busting, i asked if this forum was (put it into easier terms for ya) basically even bothered with by the team, i think by the same continual questions being asked that "the team" are not making it clear to members what is happening

Don't really see much point in starting a new thread on Feedback just for this idea or adding to the neverending bug list but MAYBE what would be nice for those that have taken the time to report probs/bugs & have an interest in helping sort things out to have a Locked sticky at the top of the feedback forum so Admin & 'The Squad' could update (without 'discussion') the issues that have been reported & either deleted or marked as solved/fixed/whatever once dealt with so that....
A. Members could SEE that progress is being made
B. Feel like their comments are being listened to & acted upon
C. Stop repeated posts for the same problems turning the Bug thread into a rambling mess in need of thread deletion & editing & taking up even more of 'The Squad's' time

One of the biggest single problems with the 'update' (freely admitted to by Admin) was a lack of communication over what was happening/had happened & while I realise what I'm suggesting would take a little time once a week, maybe it would be worth it to prove that the lesson has been learnt??!?

Yeah I'm not sure thay can post all the bugs in one thread C32, i think the limit is still just 10000 posts :w00t: :giggle:

As you say, short lived (small wonder I hadn't realised there was one!) & there'd have been no need for 'discussion' on that thread if the bugs one was kept streamlined by having a seperate locked update (sticky) thread to avoid duplicate reporting & waffle....

yep it was by a few of us, and thought maybe that thread would help, but hey ho, i do feel for the members continually posting the same old and others continually telling them its already been reported, it seems one hash after another
