[COLOR="Green"]I ended a contract on three bought from e2save a few months back. The only real problem with this network is customer service who are based in Mumbai (formally Bombay). The staff are very helpful though, it just takes a little longer to put your point across and a few extra phone calls. They are trigger-happy with their "transfer" switches, lol.

There are areas where you can't get any signal at all - usually in the middle of your home - but you get to learn where these are and you can often get full reception from just a few metres away!!

I don't like the fact that you have to pay a monthly rate for web-browsing, and you can only visit "selected" sites.

As dino said though, their tariffs are really good value for money!! They have plenty of x-net mins and texts - too many to use - and if you're on ThreePay PAY-G you get paid to receive calls and texts!!

So for that very reason, they get a big :thumbsup: from me!![/COLOR]

5. Rubbish. I had problem with 3G reception in my area (phone was constantly switching between 3G and 2.5G so it lost all incoming calls) and their support guy didn't even understood what the problem was. He was telling me something like "this is not our problem sir, you need to read manual on how to operate your phone!". When I pointed out that 3 doesn't allow for my phone to stay forever on 2G he said that this is not true and phone is incapable of working in 2G mode at all. So I told him to stop working as customer service rep and to arrange some lonely sexually orientated trip for himself:D
6. Oh yes. The signal (3G) wasn't stable at all (see above).
7. I really liked the phone (Motorola A820) but phones are (in theory) designed to make calls. Preferrably not to customer service.
8. I am not sure whether reception is better now but their CS is a joke.
9. No. Avoid like a plague.

I've been with them now for over a year, i had a Nokia 7600 (yuk phone!) on a cashback deal via CPW. That was great, loads of minutes for basically free! Just upgraded last month after haggling for great deal, but they let me down, i asked for the 300 minutes and 1000 txts a month on the N70, i recieved the phone which was in top notch condtion but the jokers put me on 750 minutes and 250 txts a month! :x

I rang them back, expressed my anger and they changed it no problem, although i had to haggle AGAIN! (Double :x) Finally i got the tariff i wanted albeit i now am on a 11 month contract coz this past month they messed up, but i get the whole deal at half price :thumbsup:

Oh and one final thing, their network coverage sucks, and their indian customer service is a joke (no offense, i'm an asian too, but boy they get on my nerves)

Been with O2 for a good few years now, they win hands down with CS, signal, and value for money IMHO

Been with 3 for 18 months now got a contract from dilaphone.Never had a huge problem with signal loss and i live in North Wales!!! Great customer support (and free). My ony problem i had with them is that i had a V800 which i had unlocked but wont work correctly with the network so i cant get any of the additional 3g service

5)small phone queue. but it does take a little (ok alot) longer to get your point across but you can haggle with the customer service team.

9)Yes i would but only because it is cheap. since i am a student i have 2 save every penny i can and they have a very good upgrades service aswell. i just got the SE K610i for 7.5 months free on a 12 months contract and no cashback. but you do need to pester them to get the price down. i managed to go from an original offer of 4 months free to 5 months then 5.5 months and then 7 months and then 7.5 months. done in a process of 3 days. but then again i think haggling is the only real skill that chinese people have!!! LOL.

BEST THING ABOUT NETWORK:

THEY UPDATE YOUR ALLOWANCE USAGE INSTANTLY - UNLIKE ORANGE AND O2. IT MEANS YOU CAN HANDLE YOUR FINANCES MUCH MUCH BETTER.

If you can't switch into 2.5G or 2G sell your phone and buy a the same one but unlocked.

OR..........

have generic firmware put onto it which will allow you to switch into2.5g mode.

I phoned them to cancel and got a Scottish woman on customer services. Good news as they always used to be in India and were not great.

I completley agree with this, they offer great deals as their customer services is crap and the service is patchy.

you can get pretty decent deals to start with on o2 and then great deals once youve been with them for a year or 18 months, im on a staff tariff which is 17.50 pm for 600 xnet mins, 100 texts and free calls all day any network on Sat, Sun and monday, but ive been in instances with customers where they are getting a better deal than I am (10-15 for the same deal) which is a joke but they are addressing this issue as they think just because we work for them we arent going to churn.

Its the N73 i got mate and i was lucky to get that for free i think so im pretty pleased all round :)

Great tariff eh with the double texts and mins and half price line rental if u wanna take an 18 month

To go through your list:

I took up the clearance The Link Nokia 6630 last november with £50+quidco profit on TT600 (500/100), so contract.

Adequate so long as you can tolerate Indian support and are patient enough to explain certain things, their CS is not for the impatient.

6) Have you had any problems with this network?
Couple of expensive sms's which took 3 goes to cancel otherwise fine.

7) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.
Best thing was being able to dial 333 to hear any many minutes and sms were left, the locked brand phones were the worst put off, asking over £100 to unlock it inside a contract and £20 outside is kind of appauling compared to the rest of the networks, 07744 numbers charged @ 15p/min instead of taken from inclusive minutes, 084X/087X charged at special rates not taken from inclusive minutes.

8) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?
Better trained indian support staff would be preferable, better retentions, best I was offered was free K800 and same tariff for £25/month, nowhere near as good a deal as others or vs. my The Link cashback one.

9) Would you recommend them to anyone else?
Depending on their needs, possibly, 3 wouldn't suit everyone as their CS is very shallow and they are very inflexible compared to the likes of O2.

Totally Unacceptable - Indian Call centre every time. Nice and Polite, but utterly useless and a complete waste of time. Ask the same question EVERY time - drove me MAD!

Reception for 10 days in my area, then none at all! Called three a billion times for help, told to put SIM into another 3 phone. I Don't know ANYONE else with one!!!

Fobbed off with rubbish excuses to make sure I passed the 14 day returns date. Then when I call to cancel because I have no reception at all am told I have passed 14 days, and I owe them £300 if I want to cancel contract!!

Don't defraud customers by giving them rubbish excuses to make them pass the 14 day rule. Customer Services - give some Brits a job! Have staff who don't just read from a useless checklist of the same questions! GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!

I would recommend ANYONE to NOT go anywhere near this network. Please for god's sake SAVE YOURSELF THE BOTHER!
