FEEDBACK: Mobiles2YourDoor (please post both GOOD and BAD experiences!!)

**This is something we tried over a year ago and I'm bringing it back bit-by-bit. If it goes well then I'll work on bringing threads for the other mobile companies and also networks. Please don't start any such threads in the meantime**

>> THIS BIT IS IMPORTANT <<

Good AND bad experiences are vital if this thread is going to work!! Please give an honest opinion!! Please keep this thread to personal feedback and feedback of your family rather than hear-say from others and feedback on other websites.

>> THIS BIT IS IMPORTANT <<

Please post your feedback based on previous transactions you have had with this company, Mobiles2YourDoor.

In particular, you should refer to the following aspects of your experience with them:

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?
2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?
3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?
4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.
5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?
6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?

It would also help if you could put your post in GREEN if you would recommend them or RED if you wouldn't use them again. If you do not have a strong opinion on this then you may wish to leave your post BLACK.

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?

Yes. I received the phone next day.

2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?

Yes and No.

Initially my order was decline. They say I was not passing their credit assessment. However, I email them just saying that I really need the contract for my communication. They did not reply but I received the handset the next day I think.

3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?

No big problem. The firs one I have to wait for a little while and give them a call. But I received the cheque in around a week after the first and only call. The second cheque arrive a week after I posted the claim.

4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.

I found the costumer service is helpful and nice.

However, I dont like the way they change the terms and conditions in claiming cashback without informing me. Initially I should have received the claim forms within 30 days of the connection date. I waited for it for two months before I called them. They just say that it will be delivered 30 days prior to my first eligible cashback i.e. 30 days before the 6th month of contract. I had not been notified this crucial change whatsoever.

5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?

Yeah their website is not too convincing and they MUST inform any change of terms and conditions, especially the important ones.

6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?

Yes. Theyre OK I think. And sometimes they have unbelievable deals! Good phones for free (and quidco!)

) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?
Yes delivered within 48 hours.

2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?

No

3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?

Easiest cashback claims ever. Far better than the hoops the likes of CPW owned e2save and osps ask customers to jump thorugh.

4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.

Quidco did not track once as quidco claimed they had problems but they would solve it. Low and behold they never sorted it out.

5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?

Maybe tidy up the web site and have a bit more choice. Also there should be transprency when it comes to what customers are told by the customer service folks. Some are told the cashback form is sent to the customer a few weeks before the first claim is due whilst I ave had claim forms 6 months before a claim was due.

6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?

I have recommended them to numerous people and am now on my 3rd contract with them

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?

Yes, received the phone next day

2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?

No, they were very prompt with email notifications of the order & it was well packaged etc

3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?

N/A as this was a one off PAYG phone purchase

4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.

Quidco tracked and paid very fast.

5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?

They are a division of Phones 4 U so could make their customer service line free as it is on P4U ( when I did phone them I went through P4U & asked to be put through)

6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?

Yes I would both recommend and use them again, but like I said previoulsy this was a PAYG purchase and not a contract.

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?

yep within 48hr

2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?

had to call to get my claimback form - wasn't sure if they were going to send it later, but i thought i better play it safe and request one

3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?

1st claim has gone through easy, so far so good

4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.

quidco offers a good cashback deal

5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?

6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?

yep

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?

Next Day, so Yes

2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?

Phone was damaged so had to get it exchanged, cashback forms weren't included as stated and they changed terms to provide them later. I had to chase them up as there was some kind of administrative error leading in the line not being connected

3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?

Push them. Should have issued cheque within 30 days took twice aslong. Terrible Customer Service Attitude

4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.

Quidco was declined without explanation.

5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?

Choice of deals, complete overall of customer services, claims process to adhere to the terms

6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?

Absolutely Not

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?
Yes - next day or so.

2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?
No

3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?
The first promised form never came and I had to chase it (as did others). However the first cheque came with the next redemption form and included dates for when to apply for cashback.

4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.
Good customer service, but tell white lies when they said that I must have slipped through the net by not getting the first form!

5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?
First cashback went well so time will tell

6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?
Yes, I would use them again thus far.

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?

Yes got the phone within 3 working days

2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?

none at all, cant fault them

3) Did you receive cash back with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cash back or even take legal action?

No i rang them and they told me exactly which bills and dates need to be sent off perfect for me, I was dubious at first but this is by far the best cash back company i have had dealings with. Two bad point is the 0870 number and the queues at busy periods. Another being the time between you sending the form and getting the cheque through the post although i cant really complain to much as it arrives each time!

4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.

Good reputation and the backup being a part of p4u, Quidco bonus! Friendly customer service team

5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?

Not that i can think of from the top of my head!

6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?

Yes and yes.

This company are great as long as you are aware of the risks with cash back and have abided by the T&c I recommend you have in place over drafts and calendars to ensure recovery of the moneys :) I hope this helps anyone looking to take a contract with them

No problems at all very quick

Nope

Just received first cheque - but had to push for claim form - although I ended up being sent two - so may have been a bit too eager to ask for it.

4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.

The deal stated a monthly payment of £35, they neglected to say that this was plus VAT, cashback is not plus VAT

5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?

CS was fine when I called for claim form

6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?

So far so good - so yes

Any chance of choosing different colours next time - not fair on us colour blind people :(

The phone arrived quickly, the free gift (a wii) arrived within a month, customer services were fantastic when I changed the delivery address after one failed delivery of the wii and customer services were just very helpful. Top company.

Are you sure? Mine always stated £40 charge which was inclusive of VAT. I assume the deal still worked out the same though, ie if it said 11 months free then it was still 11 months free?

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?

Yes - phone was delivered next day.

2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?

2 faulty phones in a row but they were replaced swiftly with no hassle.

3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?

Had to request the first cashback form, and receiving the first cheque was a bit slow. However the second claim came through within 2 weeks, will be sending off my third in a few days.

12 months free contracts and their terms and conditions are very good. Can't think of anything particularly bad.

5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?

Email-based customer service could do with an improvement. It would be nice to receive a resolution via email instead of a cut-and-paste 'Please call our helpline' email.

6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?

Yes.

So you're not getting 8 months free then? I agree, if that's the case it's misleading.

When I bought mine it said £40 a month and I'm paying £40 a month so not sure why your's said £35.

I didn't realise till after my first bill - tbh I haven't done anything about it, whereas a letter to M2YD, may prove interesting reading.

No - except it wasn't in an original box.

Like everyone else, I had to phone up for the first one, got it a few days later. The next two arrived without incident.

The first few times I phoned I had to wait on the line for ages. It often said there was no-one available. Sometimes I got through no bother, very variable as to how easy it was to speak to someone. Customer services were very good though. Rather than call the 0870 number I used 01782 677 600 and asked to speak to M2YD.

Nope

3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?

Only received first cheque so far, that took just over 2 months to arrive and required frequent chasing, the usual excuse being that the cheque printer was broken and they refused to hand write my cheque.

Second cheque still hasn't arrived, I've chased it and they said that they haven't received my claim, they said there's nothing they can do as they definately haven't received it, until I gave them the special delivery number which proved that they did receive it, they then changed their tune and said they'd send out a cheque. They refused to send out the new form to claim with until 2 weeks time, I should have made that claim about 2weeks ago so I'll get it in about 4 weeks after the time that I would have been able to. I'll still have 30 days left of the 60 day window but it's just annoying that they make me wait when I could be claiming now and therefore receiving my cheque earlier!

4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.

See next answer.

5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?

Customer service is absolutely awful, I have come to get used to this with most companies but they refuse to let you speak to a manager, insist that they haven't received your claim even though you know they have as you have proof, refuse to send you out a claim form for a couple of weeks making you wait longer for your money and giving you less time in which to claim.

6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?

Yes! BUT only as I'm happy to take the risk and chase them up, if you're not then cashback contracts aren't for you. There not as easy as they should be. Companies like this will make things hard for you!

Just coming to second claim with M2YD so thought I was now in a position to share my experiences so far.

Delivery - Was fine, can't remember exactly but was around a couple of days. Had to wait another day for phone to actually be connected.

Order - Everything was in that should have been and as the phone was a brand new one it was in A1 condition.

Cashback - The only slight complaint was that I had to ring up to request my cashback form as I got to six months without it. However, CS was very good and I was advised when each claim was and which bill I should send. The requested cashback form arrived within a couple of days. First cashback cheque arrived in about a month without needing any chasing

Cashback claim period is very generous, especially when you consider the offers are very good as well - they give you 60 days in which to claim and they are very up front in which bill you should actually send.

Would you reccomend? Yes. Based upon my experience, my other half has gone for a cashback offer with Phone 4 U who are the same company just under a different name.

Conclusion - Very satisfied so far as the t&c's are very easy to follow. I am a bit of a cashback veteran having 'done' about a dozen offers mainly with the car phone warehouse (CPW) companies E2Save and OneStopPhoneShop and it was refreshing to see M2YD and P4U offering decent 12 month free deals with simple cashback procedures, especially as the CPW introduced stricter claim periods on their 'price match' deals.

However, you don need to be organised and prepared to do a bit of chasing to get your cashback - in this case it has just been a quick call so far. Also I would personally only go for cashback offers from Phones 4 U companies such as this or the CPW ones and would avoid smaller companies that you've never heard of like the plague.

That reminds me, customer service keep arguing with me about the way to claim cashback. The form says to send in your most recent bill, so I send in my most recent bill. Customer services tells me to send in the one after that. Like I've told them, I'm going to do it as the claim form says and that'll be my proof, not that I did it the way someone told me on the phone.

From what I've read they seem fairly relaxed about which bill you send in. I've read that some people have done as you said and sent the most recent bill and others ,like myself, sent in the next bill (that actually contained the claim date) and both got cashback no problem.

I agree, both seem to work fine. Jusy annoyed that they start an argument about it every time I ring and tell me I'm wrong, when I'm not!!!

COLOR="Black"]It took around 7 days which is a bit long to wait when you want a new phone in your hand, but it did turn up in the end.

2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?

No

3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?

They changed T&C's and sent cashback form a few days before my first claim date. Received cashback with minimum chasing

4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.

OK so far, still have 3 claims to make!

5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?

Speed of sending out the phone when ordered.

6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?

Yes

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?
yes
2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?
came with different accessories but a phone call put that right.
3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?had to wait for first form but a call corrected that and they told me on phone my dates of claims
4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.
5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?
should just send the 1st claim form out with the order.
6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?
Without doubt!

Another update:

Forgot to send most recent bill with my 2nd cashback claim.

They sent a reminder slip in the post, giving me another opportunity to fulfil the claim. I don't know if they were prompted by my telephone call (which I made to enquire on my cheque status - they never called me back despite taking my number as they were busy).

So all in all, very happy with them. Just don't be afraid to ring them and chase the forms up (use the freephone number).

Well done M2YD!
#26
Completed my contract with M2YD and taken another cash back offer with them. Amazing. Highly recommended!!
#27
An update of my experience since posting in June. I've now had 6 payments on two separate contracts (one a phones 4 u) and have to say this is the best cashback contract I've ever had (had others with e2save/onestopphoneshop and a long time ago at dialaphone). On each occasion I have received the cheque in about two weeks from posting the application. When you combine this with the very generous claim procedure I'd recommend to anyone.
#28
Just to update - I have now completed my 12 month contract and have received the full £480 from the chequeback offer! I'm very happy with the service from M2YD and the fact that I am in profit makes me even happier  ! Now on to my second 12 months free contract with M2YD!
#29
I took the contract out in February and have just been asked to provide this feedback, so I may have forgotten something, but generally problems and bad memories stick!

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?
Yes - it turned up next working day

2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?
No - I was surprised and concerned that there weren't any cashback forms included with the phone as E2Save / carphone warehouse provide, but I was told on the phone they'd be sent seperately closer to the claim date.

3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?
I've only had one lot of cashback so far and that went smoothly.

4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.
The ordering and delivery process I thought was fine. The one disappointment was it was not possible to transfer number over the the Vodafone supplied phone but they do say that on the website.

5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?
I think the only way of speaking to them is via a national rate number which is a bit irritating.

6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?
I'm intending to use them again in February.

Try this number provided by Long Mover, should be free from your inclusive minutes on the mobile.

I took out a cashback deal with M2YD just under a year ago. Overall, I thought they were OK. Here’s my feedback.

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?
Yes.

2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?
No, but I placed 2 orders within a day and was told after placing the second order that the phone was out of stock. They couldn’t offer an alternative, which was a shame as I wanted to do the two cashback deals together as it would be less hassle.

3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?
No problems receiving the cashback.

4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.

My first impressions weren’t good:

- There was no reference to the cashback deal in any of the paperwork sent with the phone

- M2YD failed to send the first cashback form after 6 months when they said they would

- When I called to ask for the form, I was kept on hold for 25 minutes

- A few days later I received 10 envelopes in the post on the same day, each including a copy of the same cashback form!

- The form for the second instalment arrived on time without prompting, but said “claim 1” on it when it should have been “claim 2”

Initially, I thought they were a shambles, but since then everything has gone very smoothly, and I have received all the cashback cheques on time, with just one more to go now.

A few months ago I thought I wouldn’t use them again, but now I think I might, and they still have some good deals on. In the current financial climate I would be slightly concerned about them going bust though as I would then loose all the cashback. I’m not saying there’s any particular reason this should happen to M2YD/Phones4U but several mobile sellers have gone bust even before the credit crunch and as we’ve seen recently, just because a company is big doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t go bust.

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?
Yes, it was only a couple of days wait last September 2007

2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?
No, as described.

3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?
Yes, my last cashback was sent at the end of September, and the cheque arrived after 22 days. All cashbacks received, total £480, on a Vodafone contract. Each cheque back included the next claim form.

4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.
Only negative aspect was Vodafone gave my number to various companies who pestered me in the last month.

5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?
No.

6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?
Yes, I am looking to use again or a CPW subsidiary if phone is unlocked.

very good company. all my responses to the questions are positive, to save writing them out again:
I receive it fast, perfect condition. Contract was excellent and followed the helpful info included in the package meeting all the chequebacks. Was worried that companies were going bust at the time but m2yd were brilliant.

No problems, perfect.

p.s Thanks for all the mobile-deal related work you do DuckMagic!!!!!

update: just recieved my 3rd cheque - still a happy bunny

4th and final cheque recieved last week - highly recommended, just need to find a decent deal now

I got all my cashbacks too. Superb company.

Tried mobiles.co.uk but they are a shockingly awful company. Signed up myself and the wife to M2YD again having found a couple of decent deals.

Relieved to be back.
