Established in 1995, One Stop Phone Shop was founded with the aim of providing market leading offers on the latest mobile phones. The company quickly grew to become market leaders in this area, and after becoming part of the Carphone Warehouse Group in 2005, have continued to maintain this status.

We have established and maintained excellent relationships with all the UK’s leading network providers and are therefore able to bring you great deals on the latest handsets. More about the parent company...

The Carphone Warehouse Group is on of the biggest retailers of mobile phones in the UK. They are well-known for their good high-street reputation and also for their reliable cashback. The Carphone Warehouse group owns The Carphone Warehouse, e2save.com, Hello Prepay and OneStopPhoneShop.

What about QuidCo cashback?

QuidCo cashback with this retailer is a plentiful £37.50 extra cashback is available at http://www.quidco.com/onestopphoneshop/ QuidCo.com .

not a great fan of one stop phone shop or the rather humerously nicknamed non stop pain shop. To start with they confirmed my order told me the expected delivery date, date goes by... i phone up to find the phone is out of stock and am given the option to cancel my order or wait till they get some in stock. not desperate for the phone i decided to wait, a couple more weeks go by i phone again, still not in but they should be getting some in another week or so. waited another 2 weeks, phoned again and get told that my order was cancelled and that they couldnt send the phone at the original deal. wasnt too happy by this time.

anyway couple months later another deal came up with them and i though well maby it was just a one off thing, instead of using the internet to order the phone. I phoned up to check it was in stock and bought it over the phone. phone arrived in good time but just the phone im missing the accessories also included in the deal, car charger and case etc. phoned up they confirmed there had been a mistake and would send me a cradel for the car aswell to make up. the case and car charger arrived but i never did see the cradel. just gave up on that one.

having said all that i have recieved the cashback without problems. personally i wouldnt reccomend or use them again.

Hi Duckmagic,

I sent them my 4th airtime bill and they returned the claim advising it was too early, so I sent them my 5th bill and then received my checque.

Thanks

I have had three contract with them. Two 12 months free deals in 2005, now expired and one C550 deal still ongoing and coming up to last cash back claim

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?
No problems phones were in stock so had them next day
2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?
No, one ordered on web and other by phone. even got £10 for referal on the phone order :)
3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?
Had to remind them for the first time(during CPW takeover time), but there after no problems.
4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.
Really no problems. they have answrs emails quite quickly. Phone queue can be a bit long but not too bad
5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?
Not from my experience
6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?
Yes

I had a phone from One Stop and had no problems with their service (although one of my mates ordered a phone and it took a month to arrive!) but anyway, I got my phone very quickly and got all my cash back - I did nag them each time on the phone making sure of the dates to post the vouchers and what to send with them tho. :)

i think they are pretty good had the same prob as u hotuk, send the wrong bill and they send it back so all good, and the cheque arrived quick when i send the next, when i ordered the phone it was sent next day excellent service so far!! recommend them

I have had two phones on one contract with them in 2005, now expired.

1) No problems phones were in stock and received them within a week.

2) No, I ordered both phones one the phone and found the sales advisors very helpful.

3) I had to remind them numerous times on the first cashback claim, and it took a lot longer than stated in the terms & conditions before I received my cheque. This was during the takeover time and they told me it was because they where printing new Carphone Warehouse Cheques. Although all the cheques I received where printed OneStopPhoneShop!! The next two claims I received the cheques with no problems, I even received the last cashback cheque within a week.

4) No other problems, they answered all my other queries quickly.

5) Nothing I can think of at this minute.

6) Yes I would recommend them or use them again.

cook!e... it was a bit of a funny story with the cheques during take-over... they really messed it up.

First of all, CPW told them to stop printing cheques because they'd send some CarPhoneWarehouse ones and then CPW told them that they'd have to print their own, leaving them with a bit of a backlog.

Ordered a phone from them last November , it arrived two days later , so no complaints about the delivery. Sent them the bill after 6 months for the first cashback installment , only for them to return it with a letter telling me i was a month too early.Sice then i have had 3 cahback cheques no problem (they even send me an email telling me they have recieved and are processing my claim!)
Quidco cashback came through nice and quickly.
I will be ordering a second phone soon.

Just come to the end of my 12month free contract. Submitted final cashback. If it's anything like the previous 2, expecting the cheques in about 2 weeks. Delivery etc was pretty prompt & without fuss if I remember correctly.

Word of warning ... got clobbered for an extra months line rental coz forgot that you need to give 30days notice to cancel ... so mark that in your diary, around the same time as "look for new mobile deal".

[Just had to use IE to post this coz it wouldn;t let me change txt colour in firefox.]

I got a 12 month contract on orange with a w800i back in October 2005.

The Delivery speed was quick, less than a week and the order went through fine.

My first cashback claim was too early, then when I resent it was too late :(.
I gave up on them after a few emails that kept saying that it is their right to not give me cashback as I missed the allocated time period for the claim.
My second cash back claim went through fine, sent my bill, got a cheque back in about two weeks.

In general they are quick to answer emails and didn’t make any mistakes on my order.

I think Customer Service is always something any company can improve on, but Onestopphoneshop is ok, as I said email replys are quick.

I would recommend them and use them again.

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?
Yes - arrived next day, once order sorted out.

2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?
Yes - ordered via website, got email following day to say there was a problem with bank details and could I phone them. Rang, sorted bank details, order processed. HOWEVER, later found out they had already taken 10p or whatever from the bank for their security check, so original bank details must have been correct. Lost £10 in process as the Order moved from being 'on-line' to telephone order. Was that a deliberate ploy???

3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?
Had major problems with 1st cb, they lied and used every trick in the book to get out of paying. I knew I had complied with all of their t's & c's (by profession, I manage multi-million pound telecomms contracts on behalf of major national/international companies). Took steps to demonstrate they shouldn't mess around with me, they then contacted me, cb1 sorted and paid.
Remaining 2 cb's paid very promptly without hassle.

4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.
Nothing to add

5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?
5.1 It still has a bad image/reputation re cb payments. This will improve over time, assuming they only 'bounce' cb payments when there is a justifiable reason.
5.2 The last time I looked, they still have separate (and worse, from the buyer's point of view) t's & c's to other CPW companies. It would be good if they standardised.

6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?
Yes - they have some good deals without too onerous t's & c's. Just remember to copy all t's & c's at the time of purchase and follow the advice given in other threads if there's a problem. Hit them with the '7 day notice' letter rather than get into protracted telephone conversations.

Completely unhelpful lady on the their customer helpline:
I said: connected on 16th May, so my 4 months connection is 16 Sept. I get bills on the 19th of each month, so do I send the 19th of Aug bill or 19 Sept bill for my 4 month cashback claim.

She said: "We don't know when you get your bills from the network so all we can say is send your most recent bill"

I repeat above....

She said "I can't tell you which bill, you are reading too much into it. It's just your most recent bill in September"

i said "Yes, but the bill that shows that I was still connected as of the 16th of Sept i.e. the 19th Sept one, or the bill I have on the 16th of Sept i.e. the 19th Aug one?

She: repeats what she said before.

So....now even more confused. Going to send in my 19th Aug bill on the 17th of Sept with the hope that if its the wrong bill, then at least there should be enough time for them to return the claim to me to send back the 19 Sept bill.

Anyone shed any light?

EDIT: Based on Shieldsy's comment below, I think I will wait for the next bill to arrive anyway and then send both off special delivery to be quick.
#13
Since there is a reasonable amount of time to get your claim in I've always waited a few extra days to get the next network bill.

Had my 1st problem with OSPS recently. Sent mine & my wifes cashback claim forms back in the same envelope. Only got CQ for 1 of them. Luckily I keep duplicates of everything and all the special delivery receipts (recorded delivery is as good as useless if you ever have a dispute I've discovered the hard way ... it's basically 1st class mail. If it ever gets lost then there's no compensation except a book of stamps!). Had to resend everything in again. Requested extra money for added expense. See what I get

Googled onestophoneshop and 01270 for crewe and found

Main number is 01270 504400 or use the 0800 0345 888.

Was browsing their site and their guarantees etc on Wednesday and noticed their price match policy, so I e-mailed them quoting TMO since they seem as popular as an STD these days, no reply yet @ 3days, OSPS not looking great from my point of view now

So is it clear yet as to when to send in which bill? My 4th bill arrived this morning, first one was dated Aug 18th, Sept 18th, Oct 18th and now Nov 18th has arrived.
Do I send the 4th bill now, or when the 5th bill arrives.... or do I send the 5th bill when that arrives?

I realised this isn't exactly feedback so I'm sorry if it's in the wrong place.

thanks
#19
I've just had a contract with these..from my understanding of the cashback process you claim on the relevant month anniversary of the start date of your contract and enclose a copy of the most recent bill that arrived before that date.mne are at 6,8,10 and 12 months

I don't think I understand, how can your 4month anniversary be on your 6th bill?

My contract started on the 18th of August and my 4th bill arrived on Friday 24th of November... is that the one that I send?
#21
Brodel if thats your 4th bill, and they want a redemption claim on your 4th bill then yes.

Its annoying but for most networks a 5th bill is always -1, 4th bill after 3months, 8th bill after 7months etc because most ppl get a bill within days of starting a contract.

You could always call them, I tend to do this with all my 1st claims.

Yes Brodel follow schizoboy's advice and clarify before you send off your claim..the last thing you want is to not qualify for your cashback because of confusion.

I got entirely muddled up about when on earth my cashbacks were valid and in the end only managed to get one out of three - Which of course meant I ended up spending more money than If I hadn't bothered moving from dealing directly with Vodafone.

I'll never bother with cashback again though I'm glad so many members do rather well with these schemes.
#24
MBeeching you live and learn ;-)
But I've done so many for myself, girlfriend, family members it's second nature to me now

My only hope is that they become automated (but that'll always be at a cost, CPW O2 deals nowhere near as good as everyone elses despite automated cashback) or preferably all online based (I managed to scan 2 cashback O2 claims for mobileshop.com and send the jpgs via e-mail and did it that way.

Either way scanning felt very 20th century for me... all networks need to hurry up and do pdf bills online like 3 and Orange and tell retailers to accepted e-mailed/httpd'd uploaded pdf bills for cashback (preferably via bacs which mobileshop and buymobilephones do) to remove the postal element entirely.

Going to the post office to do recorded or special delivery each time is cumbersome, but I need to do that about once a week anyways.
#25
I don't understand why in this day and age I can't just write an email saying 'I want my bloody cashback!'. I even find using a pen and paper these days a serious chore.

If only life was so easy...the reason they make the cashback process so cumbersome is of course to confuse and I expect quite a % cock it up or simply forget so cashbacks stay in the pocket of the provider.

I doubt very much they'll make it any easier unless they substantially reduce the amount of cashback.

been using onestopphoneshop since 1999........never had a problem with them at all............i even went direct to vodaphone once my contract ran out for a specific phone they told me i would have to pay upgrade cost of £100.......told them to stick it........rang onestop....got the phone i was after,an a free xbox 360....18 month contract was the only downfall........ive only got 6 months left..........so be getting another top free gift soon........hopefully they will be doing plasma t.v's......to play my 360 on lmao

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?
Yes it was quick.

2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?
Their tracking process never tracked my order. And on the phone to them they claimed it had never been ordered and tried to get me to order again. I sat tight for a day or 2 and the phone turned up :S but otherwise no problems

3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?
No problems at all. Always receive the cheque within a few weeks sending them the bill. Was very worried this aspect having read bad feedback elsewhere, but must admit they have been as good as e2save (who I found excellent). They never did send me my £10 starting cheque tho!

6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?
yes probably.

Has anyone ever had a problem with Quidco cashback with OSPS?

I bought a W810i on 6th Nov via Quidco. It tracked only as £0.01 (due to be paid Dec). I thought at the time, this was done, just in case I decided to cancel it or it was paid in stages.

It's been like that at the same amount since. Sent an e-mail to Quidco and had no response. Submitted a incorrect earnings query through Quidco and the status is "on hold".

I've had the same problem, same phone on a Virgin contract on the 6th of August, didn't register at all so I opened an enquiery and its status is still 'sent to merchant'. I've never had any luck with quidco though to be honest, done all the clearing cookies etc but never seems to work.

Just recieved my first cashback so time to comment on OSPS though.

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?
Took about a week and a half, could have been quicker but I ordered a refurbished phone so understandable that they wouldn't have it immediately.

2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?
It did arrive without having any contract applied to it, I had to call up virgin to actually activate the contract as it seemed the last step for activations hadn't been carried out by OSPS but wasn't much more than a 5min phone call.

3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?
No problems here, just recieved my first cashback without any issues which has been a big relief lol.

4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.
There were still the few problems as outlined above, considering the deal on the contract they were easy to put up with but would have been better if they had not been there at all.

5) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?
Yes, been good so far. Still a few more claims to go though, fingers crossed!

Rubbish company

Would defiantly not deal with again!!! Ordered my C600 on Orange Network. Delivery date was 5 days didn’t turn up for 3weeks, Phone was faulty, When I contacted them they said they would arrange replacement phone, That didn’t happen and I had to contact them again. This time they did turn up.

1st Cash Back claim Sent it off no problems didn’t hear anything from them I had to contact them roughly 3months after sending the claim off and suprise suprise the cheque turned up 2 days later.

2nd Cash Back claim...... Interesting one, Sent my details off had a returned letter to the wrong address (Lucky the Neighbours are honest people) The Neighbour then posted it to me, My claim had been returned and said that I had to prove my address as this was different to the one on their system. Yet they paid the first cash back!!!! SAME ADDRESS on both Claims. ( I have now received my 2nd cheque) I had to return the same claim and I also put a letter to their customer services dept. Not expecting to hear anything back from them!!!

Had to contact customer services again. Spent over 40 minutes on the phone, Explaining what had happened and how on earth has their system just changed my address. On this call I was put on hold several times then ended up at a new person who had no idea what was going on. Very poor excuses and service

The best one was recommending a friend

Recommended a mate in May 2006 and after several Phone calls / E-mails and having to prove that I had actually recommended a friend the vouchers turned up DECEMBER 06 After xmas. The original deal was for £20 cheque. I had £20 vouchers for High street shops. The best bit :- When I went to spend the vouchers they had been recalled for whatever reason and I had to ring a different company to have new ones sent out. Still in the process of doing this.

Who knows what problems claim number 3 will give me!!

Would not recommend them to anyone
#32
Not pleased with the cash back service. I am still waiting for my original cheque from activation date and was told there has been delays. So I guess its ok if I delay paying my mobile bill because there are delays? I think the answer is no. I also sent off for my cashback on the bill and was told it was too early and they are sending it back. It does seem very odd as other companys just accept the bill and do not have any specifics on dates, just the month of the bill ie 4th month bill.

So all in all a bad service, as I am still waiting for my original connection cheque and for them to return the monthly bill so that I can then send it back at a later date. I think I will definatly not be doing a cash back deal again.
#33
Today I recieved a cheque from E2 Save which is bizarre considering I bought the phone from one stop phone shop. Anyway I am supposed to get a £23 cheque once I signed up, then 4th bill £83, 8th bill £83, 12th bill £83.

However for some reason the cheque i recieved was for £90. I am very confused because I spoke to someone the other day who said they were sending my claim back because I sent it too early. If this is supposed to be £83 + £23 then thats £106. So they still owe me £16. Then the fun begins again on the 8th month bill.

 I am not convinced that they know what they are doing, I will have to contact them during office hours tomorrow and will probably end up talking to another moron.

can anyone tell me how long to give them before chasing up my cashback claim, i sent it recorded and it was signed for on the 20/2/07 so 11 days? how long before i call them? thank you guys

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?
Yes, I received the phone in a couple of days.
2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?
No, Although it was a refurbished phone there was nothing wrong with it.
3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?
I didn't receive the cashback vouchers with the phone, so had to chase them a couple of times. Eventually they were emailed to me, about a week after I started chasing them.
Also, had a problem with the automatic cashback. When I phoned them up they said they were having IT problems. Eventually received the cheque about 6 weeks later.
No problem with the 1st cashback claim - received on time with no hassle. Hopefully the next 2 claims run as smoothly.
4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.
Liked the fact that you can go to their website, enter your order no. and find out when you should be posting your claims.
5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?
Yes, they need to ensure that they send out the claims vouchers with the order.
6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?
Difficult one. I think they are worth taking a chance with as long as you are prepared to chase them if you are having problems, though I wouldn't be surprised if some people do have difficulty getting their cashback.
