coming to the end of my maternty leave in work so decided to look for something a little less challenging and with better hours

anyway i took a care taker job at the school opposite but i now have had to give it up as it was far to heavy(lifting heavy tables on my own)really annoying as i turned down another job for it

since my friends little girl became poorly i stopped visiting the gym etc so i have now started to put weight back again and eating c**p

my house is a complete s**t hole!needs loads doing to it but not got the time or money to do it

look for another on freecycle, our washing machine broke, its only two months old, (but the two year old tried reprogrammming it to show peppa pig and it didnt work well!!) and we are still waiting for the parts, we were really lucky as someone on freecycle gave us another to use while we are waiting for it to be fixed.

As for the rest, tackle one very small area first and then move on, its the most effective way and you see results quicker too!

Everyone has days when they feel really down, and thats when we need our friends, is there anyone you can sit and have coffee and a moan to?

Failing that its Caturday, the pics always make me smile. :)

I hope you feel better about things soon, look after yourself.

awww sugar.

nothing much i can say except ... the fact that there is a problem means there is a solution.

sometimes one needs to vocalise the frustrations, get it over with, then get on with stuff. rise and fall rise and fall, that's how it goes. hope it all works out, lotsa friendly caring people here.

Go for a walk each day - no cost - no risk of injury - and a chance to think without interruptions.

Gyms get you fitter than exercising on your own - but look at the statues of ancient Greek athletes then remember they got like that without gyms.

Sit ups/crunches - press ups - stand ups - leg raises cost nothing - and you can do before you get dressed or when going to bed. Two weeks of doing this properly can show results, and produce enough endorphins to lift you a little (or a lot if someone else notices the improvement).

Looking at a site showing what you currently cannot afford is probably not going to help you.

Kellogs breakfast cereals current come with a free swim voucher - check if a pool doing this is near you.

Local councils are likely to cover education costs or offer reduced sports centre costs if you are on benefits.

If you can get enrolled in evening classes it could broaden your job prospects by extra knowledge and by showing you got off your **** when you were not working. Its real people to talk to too.

Generally you will get fitter training in a gym in a bad area - than in an expensive club with limitless facilities. People in expensive gyms tend to include posing in the equation - Council gyms in poorer areas are outlets for anger through exercise - seriously you are likely to get a better session there, and might get it subsidised. (Think how many boxing gyms are in good areas?)

If you are not on benefits - you might be entitled to some until you get a job - it could stop or reduce your running up debt.

Don't feel you might be alone - look how many people replied to you here. But people in real life are better than people on the internet.

Dont worry about your house being a mess - I have bought, renovated and rented out two houses since I started work on this one - so mine is worse - trust me.

If clearing up the house seems too much - think of it as perhaps 200 things need done - and if you do 7 a day - there is no mess in under a month. Make a list of what you need to do - as when you look at the things scored off you can see you have achieved something. It then happens faster as you feel better seeing the list shinking.

If you need to speak to someone and no one is about - or you dont want to say things to people you know - you have here - so don't feel down.

Doing things resolves things - doing nothing gives you more time to worry about them. Hint - dishes!

Lastly - smile when you meet people - it does wonders.

when i came down to London to start uni, i had £1000 savings from working a few years and nothing else. my parents did not understand why i couldnt just get married and settle down with kids etc so no moral or financial support there basically not much contact with them.

As most people will tell you about living in London, what i had soon depleted after a few months! luckily i had gotten a uni scholarship/grant so it stood me in good stead, worked part-time at the SPAR helped but hardly much. i remember the days i couldnt afford a duvet and that winter was the coldest ever, you cant sleep you're knackered people stealing your food from the dorm fridge, just didnt feel like wanting to go to school. also started a new relationship (still the same OH after all these years) ... and no money between the two of us. the days it got so bad i had to budget £2 for food for both of us, with full-time uni and costly travel and rubbish flatshare ... and i was too proud to ask for assistance from family ;) we still joke about the fish and chips shop where we'd get the chips for lunch and save the fish for dinner (£1.75) and made tea from the hot water tap no kettle there.

if i ever feel down i just have to remind myself of those days and it aint that bad afterall. i still walk by the same fish and chips shop and think of how lucky i am.

what u go through can only make u stronger and appreciate life.
