How come it went mouldy before it was stale?

lol thanks i didn't feel sick, now I do cheers

"It isn't okay to eat mouldy food even after the mold has been cut off, as surface mold is more than what you see. It actually has hyphae or roots which can penetrate deeper into the food.
It depends on the bread mold; some are harmless, some are indigestible and can make you throw up, some are poisonous and can make you very ill or kill you."

just found this "Recently, over 100 people died in one of the African countries after consuming grains (maize) contaminated by Aspergillus flavus, a mould that produces aflatoxin"

What type of mould was on the bread? Very important you find out before deciding if you will be ok
